Saw this listed as a new one and reviews were through the roof. Episodes are 20-27 minutes so easy knock out.

Kristen Bell is a sex and relationship podcaster on the rise who meets a devout Rabbi (Adam Brody) and they hit it off.

Really great little series. Good chemistry, great side characters, sharp dialogue (reminds me a bit of Gilmore Girls, at least what I've seen of it,) and a fair balancing of somebody of faith and an agnostic trying to make it work.

I feel like Brody normally plays ******bag usually and he's really pretty charming in this role.

9/10.

i guess a rabi and a priest falling for somebody is where the comparison stops. there are much more likeable people here.

i'd compare it a lot more to something like Crazy, Stupid, Love, or 500 days of Summer than something like Fleabag.

Gilmore Girls is an appropriate comparison.

lots of dialogue with pretty people saying clever things to each other.

Knocked this out on 2 days. Kristen Bell is charming as hell (shocker), Brody really grounds this (actually kinda surprising), and the general constant bickering across the board was funny and never really became grating. It's probably a nothing special show if you strip out Bell and Brody's palpable chemistry, but that goes a long way. Jonah from Veep and his relationship with his wife were pretty funny too.

Pretty sure this will get another season.

That's what I meant by Brody being surprisingly charming. He's a dick in most roles but he brings you back to a normal human role in LA.

I know i'm pimping this but feel like it's under the radar my favorite series this year outside of Shogun.

My wife and I binged the first half of the season last night. All of a sudden it was 11 pm and we had no idea where all the time had gone.

I actually started liking it more as the season went on (opposite of The Perfect Couple).

The podcast angle ended up being pretty pointless and forgotten, but I guess that was their attempt at making it modern.
