This first teaser trailer seems to skirt around it, but this is apparently a vampire flick, with Michael B. Jordan playing twin brother vampires. And rumor is, this is one of the reasons Marvel's new Blade remake has been delayed so much, seeing as their iteration was reportedly/originally a period piece, just like this one. So when Coogler beat them to the punch, they obviously had to re-imagine their version and have now chose to set it in modern day instead. There have also of course been a number of other script problems with Blade, and this was just one more headache, but still. Crazy that Marvel let their golden boy get the jump on them, but it looks like we might be better for it...

If so, it's me and every other headline today, from basically every major publication, calling it a "vampire" film. It's pretty widely known at this point, just odd that the marketing hasn't fully embraced it yet.

MBJ appears to be out in sunlight though.

The imagery on the poster almost seem to me like the twin on the left is a vampire. I'm guessing the two brothers disagree on some lifestyle choices and in the end the twin on right ends up having to put his twin brother down.

If it's a vampire movie there is literally zero chance it makes it to opening without it becoming widely known it's a a vampire movie. I also realize the above may be a joke. indeed


Regardless, this looks f'ing amazing. Also absolutely love the time period.

The more blurbs I read from reputable outlets, the more I keep seeing everyone saying that MBJ is playing twin vampires. Granted, it could all be based on a single, misinterpreted/misreported logline, but I'm seeing it so many places that it can't be dismissed. Maybe it's vampires fighting vampires? Or yeah, maybe only one twin is a vampire? That would at least explain why MBJ is playing twins at all...

That actually makes the typo from the tweet TCTTS posted in the trailers thread that listed Michael B. Jordan twice make some sense.
