Caught the matinee screening yesterday before the game with my son, and we both enjoyed it. The origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron (I guess Bumblebee and Starscream to an extent as well) was done very well. Lots of humor and action. They even threw in a reference to Go-Bots if you listened close enough.

Not sure I'll go see it, but was stoked to see Optimus wielding his laser axe from the cartoons in a commercial.

We saw it today with the kids. I liked it, the climax was really good.

An animated movie about transforming robots created by a toy company has no business being as good as that was. It wasn't high cinema or anything, but it was worth seeing. The script was good. The acting was good. The visuals were good. The action was good. About as far from the Michael Bay Transformers as you can get.

Sounds like we're gonna take the family and see it this coming weekend. If it's as good as what I'm reading kids will get a kick out of it

Yet he did produce Transformer One...

I saw that in the credits and just assumed it was a tip of the cap kind of thing. This movie really is nothing like the Bay-verse Transformers.

I want to see this one. I'm a Transformers fan.

Watched this earlier in the week and it was a lot of fun, way more entertaining than I thought it would be. It was legitimately funny as well. Good movie to watch with kids too. I thought it was a decent origin story for Optimus and Megatron. There are some good inside jokes as well like referencing the Transformers movie from back in the 80s and a certain famous song from it.
