Show is hitting its stride

After what seemed like a bunch of filler episodes… that finale

Just finished season 3. All I can say is, wow! Can't wait till season 4!

The beginning and end of this season was magnificent. The middle episodes I disagree that they were fillers as they still moved the plot along but definitely slower paced.

Overall a solid season and can't wait for Season 4

I finally started watching based on this thread. Great show! And I've binged the first 3.5 seasons over the last 3 days. My issue is why do people keep arguing and fighting over the weird things they have seen and experienced when they are all in this crazy ass place?

And every argument seems to switch from one person to the other. Boyd and Donna are prime examples. And Donna is my favorite.

Well…I haven't gotten quite that far, but obviously where it is going.

What I want to know is, why did the give up so easily on the monster killing blood / bile worm theory? Magic bullet didn't work, but why not try a syringe on the end of a long stick? Kill…butcher…refill…repeat!

I'm watching the first 3 seasons on the MGM+ 7 day free trial. I think season 4 just came out and is only releasing 1 episode a week

I just saw an ad while watching the boys that said mgm+ and prime but when I looked a week ago I swear only season one was on prime. No chance I can watch all the episodes in 7 days and I'd like to rewatch season one. Pretty pathetic of me since I made this thread lmao

Season 1 is available for free on Prime (no MGM+ subscription required), but you can get season 2 and 3 on Prime with the 7 day trial of MGM+

I like the show, but shows like this are tough because it's unlikely a full story was fleshed out not knowing if they'd get more than one season, so we're left hoping they have a way to really tie things together.

Acting is solid outside of the mom though.

I'm no prude, but the writers reliance on the F Bomb has been annoying. Might as well change the title of the show. FROM, should be ****.

My teen son and I have been binging this together. He loves it, and I want to. The premise is solid, but the show bogs itself down with bad dialogue and ponderous pacing. If I took a drink every time a character said "This place…" in an overly dramatic tone, I'd be blackout drunk before the end of each episode.

This should have been the last season. I agree with the other poster. I don't think the writers had any idea where they were going.

So now starting to feel like season five of Stranger Things, but at least Stranger Things had an end point

When I found out that there would be a season 5, my first thought was, "What for?".

This season has been the best season since the first one. When it comes back for Season 5, my wife and I have already agreed we're going to re-watch the whole thing to see if we catch things that we missed the first time.

I think we will have at least one, if not several, major deaths tomorrow night.

I think it's very possible that we lose at least one of Jade and Tabitha, tomorrow. Clearly their plastic sheeting didn't stop the monsters from coming in, and lots have suggested that the bones in that tomb may not be those of the kids. What if it is the bones of different versions of Jade and Tabitha who get killed every time this "game" resets? I think there is a good chance that their mission to dig up the bones will fail dramatically, and Season 5 will require a new plan.

Victor could die. His father is hallucinating and believes he has to kill Victor to get back to the real world. Victor is a sitting duck in a jail cell.

Elgin probably is dead. I think Sophia will kill him and then shape shift into Elgin to cause problems.

I don't know what the end game is with Fatima, but she apparently is dead and no one has told her yet. It seems so likely that she will end up becoming the woman in the kimono, but maybe that is just too obvious. Something big is going to happen with her, I just have no idea what it is. Could be good or bad.

I don't think they'll kill Ethan or Julie tomorrow, but they're both on the chopping block. The internet theories about Ethan being the 8th child to complete the ritual are logical.

Same. It's one of those "just when I think I am out they pull me back in" shows. I am either completely bored or I can't wait to start the next episode...there is no in between.

I knew going in, but it's basically a show you get too much invested in to just give up.

I was bored through most of Season 4 and the amount of complexity they added the last 2 seasons is going to make it very hard to satisfyingly tie up in a final season. IMO nothing they've done since Jim's death has had any kind of weight to it. I had hopes going into S4 (with two full seasons left) that we were going start getting a "ooooh, now I get what was going on with X, Y and Z in the first few seasons -- it makes sense now!", instead I think we're going to get an inevitable "that's what we're going for?".

I still dug it. Pretty tough place to stop and wait for a year or more but now it feels like it's hitting the fan every episode. Season 5 should be intense.

And don't worry guys, the Sophia actress is 22 so it's ok to think she's attractive when she's being a psycho.

Really enjoyed seasons 1 and 2, but these last two were just painful to get through.

Just finished season 4. I can't believe there's going to be another. What a snooze fest filled with garbage that season was. And, worse, I'm going to have to repurchase MGM+ to see the last season. Too much time invested now

I was smart enough to not fall for "we've already got the whole story and ending fleshed out [and this totally won't be extended as long as its generating $$$]", but I still totally did.
