He's decent and is watchable, but I haven't really seen any depth from his performances, yet. At least in the things I've seen so far.

He is in his hunk star phase like Cruise or McConaughey. I am sure he will take on a couple of gritty indy roles where he shows off his acting skills in a drama.

He was great in "Anyone But You" with Sydney Sweeney. I highly recommend that movie despite the central premise being travelling to a lesbian wedding in Sydney, Australia. The scenes really show off the Sydney area and Australia in general.

I found that movie to not be good at all. Sweeney just felt awkward to watch the entire movie, and had absolutely no chemistry with him. I will say that he was okay in the movie, but the dialogue was horrible and she just isn't a good actor, imo.

It wasn't that great a movie per se but, I'm totally biased since it was clearly a movie funded by New South Wales and Australia Tourism.

I thought it was a cute romantic comedy at a time when very few new theatrical releases were coming out.

The woke story lines were totally unnecessary and at times made the movie almost completely unwatchable.

Glen Powell played his role well and Sydney Sweeney did what I wanted her to do which was mostly to just look hot.

Holy crap... forgot he was in that. I did enjoy that movie, though not to the level of Dazed and Confused.

Do we respect his decision?

Until Top Gun, that was pretty much what I associated him with. "Oh yeah, it's the stock broker guy who screams and has to ride on the back of Bane's motorcycle"
