Is there any chance this new Snow White movie isn't the worst movie of 2025?

It will make kid money. Little mermaid made very little profit and this will probably do the same. They just have to clear 350 million. White woke soccer moms can clear that easy with the kids.

Snow White was led to the house because she needed a place to stay. But the reason she cleaned the house was because she thought orphaned children lived there, and felt bad they didn't have a mother. So she would clean the house and surprise them.

I think the second tweet delves in to the reason for the cleaning that adds more context. There was a longer tweet I saw that went a little more in to tlit but I'm not going to dig for it.

That looks so laughably bad... I can't believe that is a legit Disney movie release. How far that company has fallen from the greatness of 90's animation, Pixar greats, and the first 3 phases of the MCU.

Zero gripes from me about Gal Gadot as hot evil queen.

because dwarves were problematic according to Peter Dinklage,so they had a multicultural cast of "woodland creatures" which looked like outcasts from a really bad Ren Fest.

The two biggest box office his this year are an animated Disney movie and a Disney Marvel movie.

What's funny to me about it is that instead of making the Dwarfs some other kind of outcast group, giving the Dwarfs more of a character arc so they have more depth, Disney chose to use really bad CGI and not even cast Dwarfs as the voice actors. Disney basically heard what Peter Dinklage said, and responded with a, "Yeah, we hear what you're saying, and you've got a point, but F you."

This movie will fail and it's for multiple reasons....

First
For starters, it's gone through several rounds of re-shoots. A poster way up at the top said it has to clear 350 million to break even and that's far from the appropriate number. The reported budget was approximately 210 million and when you take out the $$$ benefits from shooting in the UK it drops it to about 170 million....but that's just the reported budget and may not have been what was actually spent (see Ant Man Quantumania as an example)......and that doesn't include any money spent on marketing....so let's low ball it and say they spend only 100 million on marketing (which the general rule of thumb would be to anticipate more) and you're up to about 270 million.....then double that as they have to split profits with the box office and that makes it needing to gross over 500 million domestic to break even. Yikes.

And then you had them try and do damage control with this EXTREMELY ANNOYING interview...mainly cause Halle Baily can't stop saying "YEAH"

It just looks awful. Granted it could improve as it's just a teaser but holy crap these dwarves look terrible and the overall look just doesn't seem enjoyable...one commentator online described the trailer as if it was Zack Snyder's take on Snow White...

But pause it at times and really look at it....holy crap this is bad. Why not use real actors and real set pieces because honestly a lot of the inside of the house seems to be CGI also but everything is cast in this odd orange/brown it's hard to tell....



My guess is this will do better than The Marvels....but not by much and will gross under 200 million domestically and will unfortunately wipe away a lot of the profits from Deadpool & Wolverine once all the final monies gets released....

95% of audiences will have never seen those interviews, and will have zero awareness of the behind-the-scenes-drama in general. Rather, they're families simply looking to get out of the house and get their kids in a theater for two hours, who aren't chronically online and could not care less about this nonsense.

How many more threads like this are there going to be, where a bunch of grown ass men complain about a Disney movie for kids (little girls, specifically), say it's going to bomb, only for it to eventually make a **** ton of $$$. This has to be, like, the fourth or fifth time we've done this, and no one has learned their lesson yet.

Yes, this movie looks terrible. Yes, the whole dwarf thing has been ridiculous every step of the way, from Dinklage's comments through to the final, atrocious product. Yes, Zegler has been annoying. The only fascinating thing about any of this is the Israeli/Palestine conflict somehow playing out, in meta fashion, via a Snow White movie.

But none of that is going to stop this movie from making a **** ton of $$$.

In fact, between this, Michael - the new Michael Jackson biopic dropping a month later - and Minecraft in between, I'm predicting one of the biggest springs of all time at the box office, come next year. I won't be watching a single one, but fail this movie will not.

I think that in today's social TikTok/Instagram/Facebook world, it's hard to not catch certain things. No one will likely go watch these interviews or even seek them out, but some mom on momTok will see a quick 60-second clip from some influencer basically highlighting the whole fallout behind this movie up to this point and could get "caught up" pretty quickly.

I just think, for better or worse, opinions can spread like wildfire in today's world and it's not out of the realm of possibility that they will for this movie as well.

Snow White was Hitlers favorite movie. Not just for little girls.
