From the linked article:

Quote:

In court a day earlier, a crime scene technician testified that a man had delivered some ammunition to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office in March after the conviction of "Rust" armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed. The man, Troy Teske, a retired police officer and friend of the armorer's father, told investigators he believed the ammunition could be associated with the "Rust" incident, crime scene technician Marissa Poppell testified.

However, the technician testified the items were catalogued separately from Baldwin's case and were not included in the "Rust" case inventory or tested to see if they matched the lethal round.

Baldwin's team argued prosecutors did not properly disclose this evidence to the defense and asked for the case to be dismissed.

They'll probably get the earlier conviction of the armored overturned for the same reason.

Hard to be a Brady violation when the guy came forward after the conviction.

Regardless of whether you think Baldwin's actions meet the standards of involuntary manslaughter.

What a mess up by the State of Mexico. They killed their on case. Just unreal.

*u ck them. Lots of people in prison because zealous prosecutors withhold evidence, however inconsequental.

Yeah, it's the worst system, except for just about every other one.

It's ultimately the fault of whoever sent/brought a live round to a movie set. That deserves more than a year and a half in the clink.

This is so stupid…. Find me a better system in the world…. Ever. It's not perfect, but it is pretty great.

And I am currently a criminal defense trial attorney. I was a long time prosecutor and a Judge.
