will be 30 years old this coming December 6th....

my kids ended up watching this during a sleep over roughly about a month ago and while I have fond memories of watching this growing up many many times with my friends I had no idea if the comedy was still going to hold up to a younger generation......and......yeah i dont know what i was worried about they laughed their heads off....

every time i see this scene:



i laugh histerically.....it well always be funny to me....

even my dad who hated this movie still had scenes where whenever he overhead it when i was watching it, would still get a good laugh....

There was a stretch of time where they showed it every weekend on TBS. No telling how many times during that stretch I stopped to watch it in full.

Found out during a family vacation a few years back that both my sister and wife had never seen it. That was remedied quickly, and the humor still holds so well.

My parents have never seen this movie. They think they are too high class to ever see a movie called Dumb and Dumber. Despite them never seeing it, when they help me with something, I still quote the movie: "I guess they're right. Senior citizens, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose." At first, because they hadn't seen the movie, they seemed a little offended. Now they just know it's a quote from some movie they've never seen. It still doesn't stop me from quoting it, though.

I also take a family trip to Colorado every year. As you can imagine, there are a lot of quotes that week. My brother in law is also a big fan of the movie, so at least he gets it. Just this past week, he took a wrong turn on the way home, which allowed me to point out that John Denver is full of *****

Which weeknight did you attend? Although a young teenager without a car, our friends group did make a (very early) preview window showing.
