This weekend was a pretty successful concert for George Strait. There was a record attendance of 110,905. That was his largest show and I would think people are taking note of that.

I thought it was well done. The sound was great, the lights and stage were well done. I was impressed how they pulled this off. I would think making use of Kyle would be great for the school and the cities of BCS. I hope they do more of these concerts.

Who would you like to see in concert at Kyle? What other acts could sell out Kyle?

Whoever sings "Buffalo Stance".

The Eagles could fill the half-stadium set up (i.e. non-rotating stage in the endzone). They wouldn't come close to breaking any records, but they'd sound great.

I'm not in her demographics but Taylor Swift would crush 110k.

AC/DC would be amazing at Kyle. The place goes completely dark and Back in Black starts up. Imagine 110k singing Thunderstruck.

maybe a stupid question.. but what is the official capacity? Surely the fire marshall has something to say about it.. You have every seat which is obvious, and then the capacity of the field.

Quantity of people on the field often depends on stage size. Taylor didn't beat metallica at at&t because of this.. her stage is humongous. Metallica had a 'donut' with a few hundred fans inside of it so they topped her.

But at some point, I think you'd hit the allowed capacity on the field, so having a smaller stage wouldn't matter. A guy on a 5' stage can't get more fans on the field than a guy with a 25' stage, because it's already at allowed capacity.

George field looks like it was seated.. so that wouldn't make a difference.

Even when it's GA, like Metallica, you look at pictures, and the back of the floor is empty because everyone is crammed up towards the stage.. which is clear evidence of some sort of capacity restriction in place. It's not like they could have sold another few thousand tickets to fill those spaces... it was already 'full'.

An SWT bobcat sold out Kyle Field and broke a decades-old attendance record. Ya love to see it.

The number of acts that can put that many people in the seats are few and far between. I don't know anything about modern pop. As far as rock acts go, which active band could single-handedly do that outside of Metallica or the Foo Fighters?

Already saw AC/DC mentioned here. One of the last big bands on my bucket list.

Looking at acts at the denver stadium in the last ~10 years

RHCP, GnR, Metallica, Stones, the weeknd, ed sheeran, then the country ones, Zack Bryan, Garth, Kenny Chesney/jason aldean, luke bryan, taylor swift.

So yeh not many. U2 did back 15 years ago.

Metallica did end stage set up back on their stadium tour in 2017. Don't think it has to be in the round for them to make money. They probably just charge more? Even with end stage you're getting ~50k+.. at $200 average, that's $10m a night.

One of my biggest regrets not going last time he was in Houston. I'm praying he comes to Texas in a few years again doubt I can go to Fort Worth this year for that price.
