How long do you want to ignore this user?
Started a new thread since the other one seemed to become more of a "Matt Damon" thread.

This movie rocked! Ususally I skip the sequels but I am glad I saw this one. The action is so tight and well done. The car chase in Moscow is incredible, and when he put boss lady in the crosshairs I was on the edge of my seat! High marks all around from me.

I'm anxious to see this movie. Not that I blindly trust critics, but Ebert & Roeper said it was the best action/thriller in years. Should be good.

don't plan to be disappointed.

I can't wait to see it either. If you all are loving the movies so far, read the books. They're great too.

i just finished reading the book. from what i hear, the movie is a completely different story. most of the main characters in the book are nowhere in the movie....and what happens to Bourne's wife in the movie never happens in the book.

Yeah, the books are completely and totally different from the movies. The only part they really get right is there is a guy named "Jason Bourne" trained in all these spy skills, who gets shot and develops amnesia and suddenly finds all these people want him dead. That's pretty much the only similarity from the movies to the books.

Overrated, but worth seeing.

Probably need to do that! I'm willing to give it another shot, so my wife and I are going to see a matinee.

I will say this, however: whoever decided on the steadycam fight scenes was a genius; whoever decided to forget the steady part of the cam was a moron.

At times, I was irritated by the constant movement (and when I say "movement" I mean violent vertical shaking) of the camera. I'm sure screw ups or miscues are a hell of a lot less noticeable when you can't see them.

They shot everything with handheld cameras...

the movie made me dizzy. We went to see it after a few beers and that was not smart. I couldn't pay attention.. And what really made me mad.. Matt Damon did not look so good in it. So I couldn't even have eye candy

That whole "movement" thing bothered me too. Apparently that's what the director wanted. I liked the movie but would have liked it more if the hand help camera thing was used a lot less. My 2 cents.

I like the story line in the book a little bit better, but I do like the tragedy that befalls the main character, totally was not expecting that!!

What tragedy was that...

I also really liked this movie. Also very loose from the book and I totally could have done without the shaky camera shots during the action scenes, but altogether a pretty solid flick. I'll probably buy it when it comes out.

Great movie as far as story and acting goes. But the punch drunk boxer who was holding the camera should never be allowed near the set again!

Take some Dramamine before you go see this film or you may loose your popcorn in the seat in front of you.

I hope they reshoot this using a steady cam for DVD.

The thing that PO'd me was the fact that they had stuff in the trailer that wasn't in the movie. For example...when he tells them how hard and fast he will bring this fight to their doorstep.

Disappointed. Straight plot without any twists. Camera work that was distracting and took away from action.

i just got back from seeing it. first, i'll say i really enjoyed it. good movie. but i can't even compare it to the book. i'm NOT going to say "the book was better than the movie"...because there's no way you can compare them. two COMPLETELY different stories. but both very good stories.

again, i'm not gonna say "the book was so much better"...because they are so opposite that a comparison would be unfair. all i can say is that if you want to read an even better story than the one you saw in the theatres, read the original.

The quote when he tells them how hard and fast he will bring this fight to their doorstep is from the Bourne Identity.

that handheld crap was annoying as hell. Overall the movie was pretty good.

More action based than the first one. The first one had a much better plot, and was more focused. This one was a little more dumb-down.

Anyway, I still liked it a lot. Although the handheld cameras made me dizzy too.
