Copying the Netflix movie formula
I can't think of a "good" Netflix movie, but I completely stopped trying to watch their garbage many years ago. Their shows can be decent, but I think they definitely go with the "quantity over quality" formula.
Rebel Ridge is good, but it's the exception to the rule.
Wolfs isn't good, it's worst sin is that it's boring. I don't blame the acting, I blame Jon Watts. I don't see how the guy who is responsible for the recent Spider-Man movies wrote and directed this. It's not particularly funny or engaging in any way, it's forgettable, it's pointless, I don't really get why it exists. I'll use another recent Apple Original to compare it to, The Instigators with Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. It had actual funny moments, better chases, better supporting cast, and I didn't find it boring. Both are essentially crime movies with comedic elements, but only one was actually fun, even if it's not great either. I at least didn't regret watching, and I don't remember checking the time to see how much was left to just get it done.
