He has to contemplate what happened and what happens next among other things. Awesome that you're putting together a specific soundtrack for this. I'd recommend the Interstellar soundtrack for that feel you're going for. Transformers: Age of Extinction soundtrack, Transformers: The Last Knight soundtrack, and Max Richter's piece On the Nature of Daylight would all go well with that too, in my opinion.

One more part of his diatribe for you Cinc, at this point I basically just have to take the job no matter how crazy it gets.

Work in Dust B'ker, the stuck in his ways, crusty old mining scow pilot who refuses to do corrective maintenance on his old rust bucket. And it eventually blows up killing him because he refused to listen to the young mechanic at Starbase 2023 who tried to tell him he had his engine misaligned.

I turned in the final draft of this work today. Looks like it's headed for an anthology of "near-future" scifi.

Very pleased to say that all the names I used from the board are still in it as of now, with Spilner getting 2 lines of dialogue,

thanks again to everyone who contributed, the book actually got really dark for a while, an unexpected happening.

Near future sci fi is my favorite genre, would love to read it once it's available
