I just had to watch this immediately after the trailer.

I think this movie might end up being a huge hit. Not only does it have the nostalgia factor and multiple generations of fans, but there's the popularity of Wednesday that'll bring in gen Z as well.

The musical adaptation just came through Dallas but if you have a chance, I highly suggest checking it out. Really fun show that catches the spirit of the original without being a copy

Weird and interesting facts about the original cast… For such a zany movie, the cast had some zany stuff happen to them. Tim Burton is a prophet, he chose the cast well.

Otho died falling out of a wheelchair while he was healing from an ankle injury.
Maxie Dean/R. Goulet died from a rare lung disease.
The receptionist in the afterlife was also on the 90s Zorro TV series and Three Amigos. Loved watching Zorro growing up.
The odd half Asian at the dinner party was married to Talking Heads frontman David Byrne for a long time.
Jeffrey Jones is a registered Sex offender and kiddie porn criminal.
Alec Baldwin killed that girl on the movie set.
Tony Cox, the preacher, has had a successful little person career as an Ewok, in Spaceballs, Willow, Spaced Invaders, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, etc…
Almost off all of the cast has appeared on the Simpsons, Keaton, Baldwin, Winona, Robert Goulet, Dick Cavett, Catherine O'Hara recorded her voice but it was not used…

Has anyone explained how Alec Baldwin and Genna Davis are not around in this movie? I could see cutting them out if it was another town / house...but that town and especially that house were tied to those two "ghosts".

I'm guessing it will be a one line/hand wave type deal that they either served their time, or were needed to haunt another house or something like that.

Looking at IMDb, Jones hasn't been cast in anything in awhile. I'm sure no one wants to mess with the whole sex predator thing.

Wouldn't call Baldwin untouchable yet unless there are guns on set. He was probably left off since there isn't enough CGI to make him look like he did in the original.
