During the 3 years I worked from home I had local Dallas radio on ... sports talk and classic rock.
After a few weeks of listening it got real old hearing the same 5 tunes by AC/DC, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, ZZ Top, Steve Miller, Tom Petty..
Started to steam radio stations from all over the country... could not get away from these band's same tunes over and over. Never hearing deep cuts.
Then Sirus/XM had a free 3 mo. promo... even that after 3-4 weeks got old... maybe expanded to 7 or 8 tunes by these same bands.
Speaking of Bon Jovi... one canNOT escape from this dude... he's on 80s on 8, Hair Nation, every terrestrial/streamed classic rock station. I know he made a deal w/ the devil... that's the only rational explanation.
Anyway, my go-to station to stream is WMMR out of Philadelphia. I hear stuff on this station that is never played in Dallas... or is played in Philadelphia months before it airs in Dallas. Night time DJ Jackie Bam Bam is a great listen.
I miss 80s Dallas' KZEW, Q102... and zRock.
