Just Finished Fuzz: When Nature Breaks the Law-Mary Roach
It was really interesting and enjoyable. The book looks at interactions between nature and humans and how we address when animals violate the laws of man. If' you've read any other Mary Roach books it's pretty similar in style.

Okay, dont judge me, or judge me if you want, but I am only on page 300 of COMC. It's still great, but I have trouble dampening my excitement for other books and can't help peeking at the first chapters after im tempted by a book, which proves to be my undoing, because I get sucked in to every book one way or another.

I go in to barnes and noble "just to look" on a lunch break.

I walk out 80-100 dollars later with 6 books that I may have sitting on my desk while I'm trying to finish 5 others. They call to me, and I'm a sucker.

I am currently on pg 120 of Ready Player Two.

As mentioned, page 300 of COMC.

Also, page 250 of King's Fairy Tale, which I started last of the bunch, but have been reading more recently because the style is so readable. And I love reading King, especially when he's "on", and this book is pretty good so far. It's fun and easy to read, even when it's not one of his best (I'm looking at you, Tommyknockers!).

I am in the early chapters of Hostage to the Devil, a non-fiction book recounting 5 historic examples of American exorcisms, written by a priest (ex? Can't rememeber).

I am praying that I can read up until I die, that my eyesight and interests and health all are good enough to let me only kick off as a complete The Lord of the Rings for the 147th time.

I need to die with a book in my hand.

Hopefully a good one.

Um yeah. Apparently really bad day to finish that particular novel. Praying for all involved.

Read some time ago that there will be a movie... possibly Ryan Gosling in the lead role.

Hope it happens.

Stormlight #3: Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson
Dawnshard by Brandon Sanderson
Stormlight #4: Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson
The Lost Metal by Brandon Sanderson
Invitation to the Game by Monica Hughes
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas
A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas

Finished up the novella and last novel of ACOTAR that's been released. Actually enjoyed it overall much more than I thought I would. After about 1.5 years of reading nothing but Sanderson, it was a lighter read for sure. I do have some beefs with her choices, such as rarely killing anyone off. Based on those that have read some of her other works, that's apparently a trend.

Haven't decided what to read next. Considering rereads of Old Man's War, Adrian's Undead Diary, Patient Zero, or City of Thieves. For options I haven't read before, I may finish some of the Cosmere short stories I didn't get to, the Scholomance, or Babel.

I read the first 4 of "Adrian's Undead Diary". Really enjoyed them. Similar in style to J. L. Bourne's "Day by Day Armageddon".

I actually read it back in the day when he was still releasing it for free as an online blog-style story. I believe he has expanded on the story/world a lot since then though, so it would actually be partially new material for me now.

Another author I have enjoyed (approved by Brandon Sanderson) is Brian McClellan who authors the Powder Mage Trilogy, Gods of Blood and Powder Trilogy and Glass Immortals series.

Note: The series are actually better when you read them, as opposed to listen to them. The narrator's voice doesn't really fit most of the characters imo.

Wanted to read the Dungeon Crawler Series and you literally can not find it anywhere. Looks like new hardcovers to be released on Aug 27th. Amazing that I can't find anything (and not interested in the audio or digital). Looking for paper

It's very restricting these days for paper. We are essentially limited to B&N and Half Priced Books in Texas and that only applies if you are in a larger city.

We have a local bookstore where I am and the lady that runs it will order most anything you want if you ask for it, so that's our avenue for getting print that is not carried by the corporate stores.

The Wisdom of Crowds (The Age of Madness, #3) - Joe Abercrombie
Another awesome trilogy in the First Law universe. Things continue to "evolve" as the citizens of the Union take a shot at anarcho-communism (aka "The Great Change"). Just a great combo of dark humor, politics, war, and some very light magic as it leaves the world with the coming of industrialization and attempts to throw off the shackles of monarchy.

Abercrombie left this open for continuation.

Supernova in the East (Hardcore History, #62-67) - Dan Carlin
Great ~30 hours of podcast covering the rise and fall of Imperial Japan in WWII. Highly recommend to get your feet wet in this part of the War that we were not taught much of growing up.

Completed YTD:

Fugitive Telemetry (The Murderbot Diaries #6)
Supernova in the East IV
Blood Rites (The Dresden Files #6)
Dead Beat (The Dresden Files #7)
Proven Guilty (The Dresden Files #8)
White Night (The Dresden Files #9)
Small Favor (The Dresden Files #10)
Turn Coat (The Dresden Files #11)
Changes (The Dresden Files #12)
Side Jobs (Stories from the Dresden Files #12.5)
Ghost Story (The Dresden Files #13)
Cold Days (The Dresden Files #14)
Skin Game (The Dresden Files #15)
Brief Cases (Stories from the Dresden Files #15.5)
Peace Talks (The Dresden Files #16)
Battleground (The Dresden Files #17)
Supernova in the East V - Dan Carlin
Lives of the Stoics (The Art of Living from Zeno to Marcus Aurelius) - Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman
System Collapse (The Murderbot Diaries #7) - Martha Wells

Currently Reading:
Eisenhorn: The Omnibus - Dan Abnett (this is my first Warhammer 40K book)
