I'll let the Hollywood insiders confirm if this is true. But if so I'll be there opening day front and center. Hopefully the main cast can return for this one.

WB/DC already has THREE on-going/upcoming cinematic Bat-verses…

- Joker / Joker: Folie a Deux
- The Batman / The Penguin (TV) / The Batman Part II
- The Brave and the Bold / Arkham (TV) (both upcoming DCU release)

Even if they wanted a fourth, Nolan has said emphatically that he's done, that Bale's Batman story is over (rumor has it WB offered him $50M to return for Batman v Superman and he turned them down), and that Robin took over Batman's duties in that universe.

Nolan also just made a billion-dollar-grossing R-rated period biopic that's about to win Best Picture, for which he'll likely also win Best Director. In other words, he's in rarified air, at the absolute peak of his powers. Especially after this, there's no chance in hell he returns to the world of superheroes.

Nolan said Robin took over Batman's duties in his universe? A universe that only ever had Batman in it? That's conveniently funny.

But then maybe I've lost track of what properties are in what universe when it comes to DC.

Ah, yes, now you mention that I do but then I also went to the arbiter of truth - the internet - and found an interview with Nolan where he said he was never going to or wanted to do Robin in a film.

But I had forgotten about that ending.

I'd much like this over the current noir Robert Pattinson nonsense. I understand many like it, but much prefer Bale and Nolan's Batman trilogy.

Watched The Dark Knight a few months ago and it still holds up so very well

I just remember fans thinking that Robin was going to be in the film based on the trailer at the football game….theres a scene where fans are holding up the name of the team and there's an "R" in the same font as Robins…..

Nolan came out and said, "No no no. Robin is not in the film that's just a prop guy having fun."

Then "that scene" happened in the movie at the end and I literally said in the theatre "Nolan you dang liar!"
