How long do you want to ignore this user?
Thought this deserved its own thread. There are several posts about season 2 on the season 1 thread.

Have enjoyed the first 4 episodes. Reacher looks like he's put on 20 pounds of muscle since season 1. He's huge.

Robert Patrick is good as a bad guy.

Not as impressed as season 1.

Hopefully it gets better.

Probably need to give it time as it's based on one of the most popular books in the series.

We rewatched S1 in preparation for S2 and it's the exact same level of cheese and suspended reality.

Which is exactly what I want in a Reacher series. I will say this season is a lot funnier that S1 imo.

It's been a turn your brain off type of show for me, thought season 1 started better. This mystery doesn't seem all that intriguing to me but maybe some twists will come.

If it ends with him cheesily throwing the dude off the helicopter I will just laugh.

Every book follows the same format, just varied characters. They are entertaining but if you are looking for something deeper, you are probably out of luck. Reacher is wandering across the country, bumbles into something dastardly, experiences some flashbacks, a hot woman gets involved, at some point he bangs hot woman, beats the ever lovin' mess out of or just kills some bad guys who are either Ukrainian, bent officials, Armenian or white supremacists. Reacher kills every bad guy involved. Leaves town without love interest and the cycle repeats next book.

Sounds like the latest season of Justified! "Hot" woman left to the eye of the beholder, of course!

Sounds like they check all the boxes to me. I'll have to pick up the first couple of books and check them out.

Watching S2 and enjoying it but just doesn't have the same must watch vibe for me as S1. I miss Roscoe.

Loving season 2 so far, Ritchson is much more comfortable in the role this season, the first part of season 1 was pretty cringe at times.

Highly recommend the Dick Hill narrated audiobooks.

This season feels more linear to me and that all the character development is being used on the 110th, versus them developing everyone else in the last season.

I found both seasons to be equally cheesy. But a lot of fun.

They made reaxher less mysterious and more of a joke in this season imo. Also the other people on the team being badasses is a little much to handle, especially because they are all scrubs in the flashbacks. The girls fighting the biker gang was awful as well.

I will watch it all, just doesn't do it for me nearly as much as season one.

The villains seem more like MacGuffins in this season than in the last one. Like the first guy going after Reacher seemed interesting and then was just wasted in the concrete.

Yeah, I guess I just don't take the Reacher character very seriously. And they've definitely added more folks just as impervious as he is this season, so I can see why feels different in that way.

Definitely agree with the villains being empty suits this season. Wish we'd get more of the badass hitman villain guy instead of the random henchmen and bikers(?) we've gotten so far.

I mean I dont take the show seriously or anything, I fell asleep watching episode 1 like 3 times, its just a departure from season 1 which I liked. Maybe the actor playing teacher just has bad comedic timing or something. Because it all seems forced. I feel like the writing this season has been much worse so that could be it. There was some really bad example in the last of the first tranche of episodes that I laughed at because it was so bad it was funny.

Ole boy is absolutely jacked though.

The biker fight kind of reminded me of the news crew battle royale from Anchorman, btw. Just over the top and ridiculous.

What's most funny to me is that the author of the books is British, so he's basically created the Reacher character to be a stereotypical American badass (shhh! it doesn't matter what MPs actually do!) and Americans largely love it.

Definitely! However, i'm having a hard time seeing her walk out of every fight and gun battle without a scratch.

it's interesting to hear Alan Ritchson discuss his bipolar disorder with Michael Rosenbaum.

dude has a great life but dealing with mental illness also means his life can be pretty awful.
