Just finished watching the entire series over the past 2 years. What a great show. Completely underrated in my opinion. Subtly pokes fun at a lot of political/cultural issues before they became issues.

If you haven't seen it for some reason, it is on Hulu. Probably worth watching.

Agreed. An all time great that doesn't get much recognition. Great series finale too with Bobby becoming an expert at meat and Hank finally being proud of him.

The funnest thing I remember (and there was a lot) was when Hank was at Bobby's school I think and they were doing a reenactment of the story of the Alamo and some dude with a coonskin cap on was wobbling around and Hank said "Who are you" and he said "I'm drunk Davy Crockett because that's what he was" and Hank just said "I'M GONNA KICK YOUR A**". Hank is the epitome of TEXAS lol.

My go to background show. It doesn't quite have the highs of The Simpsons, South Park or Futurama, but it doesn't have the lows either.

I watched it for a few seasons. I still think this was one of the best moments in tv comedy.

Hank and other 'necks go down to old Mexico for something. These lose their wallets and have no ID's and can't cross the border to get back, so they end up crossing in the Valley with some illegals and eventually make it back to Arland.

They're hanging out having beers and Khan comes out and starts mocking them

HAHA. You illegal alien. I call border patrol on you. HAHA. You lower my property value. HAHA.

It's the most Texas show of all time, even more than Friday Night Lights for me. I haven't lived in Texas in about a decade at this point and King of the Hill reminds me of so many things when I'm watching it. I did a rewatch not long ago and it totally holds up.

I met a kid at scout camp a long time ago. We were both probably around 17/18 at the time. He said he never found King of the Hill funny until after moving to Texas. Then it all started to make sense. I think he was from Arizona or California, but can't recall exactly.

My favorite thing about King of the Hill is that anyone not from Texas thinks it's an over the top portrayal. Anyone from Texas knows that it's 100% real life and knows someone just like nearly every character. Mike Judge is awesome.

I live in southern Missouri and people here love the show. While there are some things in the show that only Texans would understand, it's mostly inside jokes that aren't really part of the plot. It's more about conservative America than Texas.

Both of these lines are all-time deliveries by their respective voice actors. I can literally hear the lines in my head as I type this.
