Saw this today and it was phenomenal! Acting, writing, costuming, cinematography, music, everything was just so well done. It hit all the notes you could ever ask for from a movie. Just great!

Visited home this weekend, was hoping to see the holdovers in theater but it wasnt showing at a convenient time and location so mom and I saw Die Hard instead. Ended up paying twenty American dollars to rent the Holdovers off Amazon last night, very good movie. Idk if it'll be a watch every Christmas flick, but I'll see it again. Excellent performances all around. Tate Donovan is still handsome af

Ha, I should have provided more context...

It's awards season and each of those acronyms are various critics groups/awards bodies...

BSFC = Boston Society of Film Critics
LAFCA = Los Angeles Film Critics Association
NYFCC = New York Film Critics Circle

etc, etc

In other words, Da'Vine Joy Randolph is cleaning up at the various awards ceremonies so far, indicating that she's an early favorite for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars.

I watched this over the weekend. I loved it. That acting was phenomenal all around. The look and feel of 1970 was great. I liked the joke about James Bond's swimsuit from OHMSS. Might be my favorite movie from this year.

Got a chance to watch this last night and it was great. The three leads were perfect. Loved the 70s feel and the way it was shot. Having watched Oppenheimer last weekend I'd say this is actually a perfect double feature for that one, it's the absolute opposite, but in the best way. Highly recommend this one as a holiday film for adults.

Giamatti's lazy eye kept me rolling. Every time it switched it helped lighten the mood without having to add an unnecessary joke. I appreciate small stuff like that.

Just finished watching this.

You owe it to yourself to see it. I will not be surprised if it is nominated for a handful of Oscars, but will be disappointed if it is not nominated for at least Actor/Actress, Screenplay, and Cinematography.

This will now be part of my regular Christmas rotation.

Totally get where you're coming from. I only have Peacock because I can catch EPL games and it's a cheap service. Sometimes there's the benefit of catching a movie like this on there.

Just yesterday I was on the phone with Disney plus for an hour wondering why they have been billing me when I cancelled 4 months ago.

At least they refunded all the money since they saw I hadn't streamed anything….but I had to argue a bit for it.

I may do the paramount thing but would rather go see it at a theatre….will it ever get a bigger release?

Unfortunately, as of now, it's at the end of its theatrical run. It might get another short run in, like, February, in the lead up to the Oscars, but who knows.
