Obviously Groening's shows have a longer run, but Mike judge also gave us cult classic movies in addition to his cartoons.

Simpsons has been unwatchable for several years imo but is obviously an iconic show that was groundbreaking for its time.

Futurama was absolutely hilarious but I haven't seen the newest ones yet so don't know if they continue to be good.

Beavis and butthead is obviously a classic and I have watched a couple of the new ones and they were hilarious.

King of the Hill obviously hits a note with us Texans and is an amazing show.

Office Space and Idiocracy are also 2 super cult classic movies that bolster Mike Judges career. Office space is one of the most rewatchable movies out there and Idiocracy is like looking in to a crystal ball.

I think Judge edges out Groening. Id guess most people here will say Groening.

I'd argue the initial run of Futurama is also better. I feel like it's more that Groening has higher highs and lower lows, while Judge has been more consistent if you're looking at total body of work.

Groening and it's not close.

The golden era of Simpsons (S3-8) is all time television.

Way too long before silicon Valley was brought up. The finale to season 1 is so epic, and it's not even the funniest thing in that show.

The Simpsons was a huge part of my youth but I haven't kept up with it even though it's still going. At this point in my life I'd go with Judge. I rewatched a ton of King of the Hill over the past couple of years and I think it resonates more with me than The Simpsons. I watched it when it was out but as an adult it's even better, especially since I don't live in TX anymore it helps to bring me back. I also did a complete rewatch of Silicon Valley not long ago and it's probably a top 3 TV show all time for me now, it's truly incredible. Office Space came out when I was in college and was also huge deal.

Apparently, on Silicon Valley they went so far to ensure all their math was correct that they hired a Stanford professor to validate the whole mean jerk time algorithm.

I love every show and movie mentioned on this thread EXCEPT FOR Futurama. I have given that show so many tries and it just irritates the hell out of me. I think the voices are annoying, I don't think the show is very funny, and I can't get into the characters.

Judge, and it's not even close. His humor is smarter, and timeless. Like others have said, the Simpsons was awesome for a few years, but when was the last time you watched? I see something by Judge on a weekly basis.

I never realized they were different people. Kind of like Michael Jackson and Prince. You know they were never in the same room at the same time.

I don't think the newer seasons of the Simpsons are as terrible as people make them out to be. It's just that the first 10 or so came along at a time when it was new, edgy, and unlike anything else on television. They were also really damn good.

The newer stuff is good but they aren't the only game in town when it comes to topical adult humor cartoons. So when you stack them up to the earlier seasons, it's always going to be a losing battle every time.

An underrated show of Judges was The Goode Family. Basically King of the Hill but with California hippies. It was pretty funny, but it was cancelled after one season. Guess the critics thought it was perfectly fine to make fun of Texans, but not Californians.

As someone who has watched the Simpsons since they were shorts on the Tracey Ullman show, I'm going to have to lean towards Judge for the body of work, plus he is a lot more involved, writes, and does voice work.
