I generally think Sheridan spin-offs suck but this is one I'd love. He's such a good character.

The actor actually pitched it...think his version of Marshals. Hasn't been greenlit.

Yeah possible. My wife is convinced it's Oleksandra and that's it.
It's too obvious though now. Feel like they deal with her early in the last episode but then something happens that leads to another insider. I still think the chopper pilot is one too.

I love this show! It may be corny at times, but it's still better than 90% of the crap out there.

Hope it's not a cliffhanger - think everyone's contracts are up and it's not yet officially renewed. The show is popular, but it also has to be insanely expensive to produce.
I keep reading from the actors that episode 8 is crazy. I also just read that it's 70min long (although that could be X slop).

As I understand it, that one may be an ongoing series, sort of. Thats why the Title was Lawman: Bass Reeves. The next one could/would be about a different lawman.
I do not believe that a second season of Bass Reeves was ever planned. It was a one off.
Next one could be, Lawman: Jack Hayes, or Frank Hammer or whomever.
Yeah I don't think it was cancelled by Paramount in the traditional sense, it was just Sheridan's call not to do another season. Much like how he axed 6666 before it got off the ground. He has so much power at the moment only he or an A-list cast member can probably dictate the future of a show.

I may be jaded with The Unit and to a lesser degree SEAL Team, but I could do without the "family at home" angle (which Lioness has been better with than the aforementioned two, but may expand based on the finale). Hopefully they don't lean into that too much if next season happens.
This season was great in my eyes - a change from overseas work. I really like Kyle (need a new series around him) and the two Delta operators (or whatever they are - the bald guy and Cody from Yellowstone), and appreciated whatever made Kidman stop with the botox.

I really hope we see what happens next in a Season 4 with the same actors. I had to look up what happened previously to even understand the ending. My memory sucks after that many years.

I think the most tragic mole would be Cruz. It would complete Joe's utter bankruptcy in life considering she's lost her family and how ironic would it be for her to lose the profession due to her own creation. Aaliyah and Cruz leave her alive but completely broken to ponder the why.

It's funny they never show the full aftermath of their shootouts. Those FBI badges may get them cleared by local cops at the onset but they would still be there all day long trying to explain to the local police WTH happened. It's not like they can just flash their badge and say "yeah we came in to arrest him and ended up blasting him and an innocent woman was shot but we gotta go, later."
To be fair, Joe tried to take responsibility when she walked in and said "But I'm the one who ordered to engage." Kaitlyn told her to keep her mouth shut.
Yeah I took that more as Kyle will get chewed out but nobody will really get in trouble on this….unless you come out and admit what you did

Its an hour long show, you want a tv script for happens after a shooting. That would be a 13 hour plus show of boredom. Having to explain in detail what happened to the detectives, then having to to explain what happened to IAD, then having to explain again to the ADA/DA. Not to mention any brass who wants to know what happened and they will demand a walk through. Yeah pass on all that non sense.

This season was fire! I like the way Taylor Sheridan entertains me. I'm not too concerned over what may or may not be real. Its a fictional tv show. I do like his usage and references to of of all the Houston area suburbs and other smaller Texas towns. Can't wait for next season!

The guess is Cruz now that we know who is the money behind Joe's kidnapping.
