Admittedly, roughly 20 minutes into the pilot I was wondering if this show was for me - it's a little disorienting at first (but purposefully so), and some of the Caribbean accents can be hard to understand at times - but man, the last ten minutes or so absolutely hooked me, and then didn't let go throughout the entire second episode. It's such a cool twist on the traditional kidnap/ransom story, features a stellar cast (one where nearly every character seems to have a secret), and I could not recommend it more overall.

The first two of six episodes dropped this past Thursday, with two more next Thursday, and then the final two the Thursday after that. Seriously, give this one a shot. If you love thrillers and/or Soderbergh (the Ocean's 11 trilogy, Out of Sight, Erin Brockovich, Traffic, The Knick, etc), you'll definitely be into this. It could be a fun one to discuss over the next couple weeks too...

First two episodes were very impressive. Can't wait for Thursday.

I am almost finished with episode 1 but am a little lost because I can't understand half of what these Jamaicans are saying. I may have to switch subtitles on.

Interesting that the 2 new episodes are already up on Max this morning. Wasn't expecting them until sometime this evening.

Episodes three and four were fantastic. Such an incredible series so far.

More people absolutely need to be watching this.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy that the finale airs this coming Thursday and only 3 people have engaged on this thread so far. This show is so good that it deserves a thread with at least... 7 people discussing it.

But seriously... this show is great.

Bumping. I watch so many shows based on this board. Really enjoying this so far. 2 episodes in.

This summer has truly been a summer for me in that when I haven't been busy working I've been on vacation away from shows so this along with the new justified are about to become bingeworthy soon.

Ooof, sorry to report that I gave this two and a half episodes and I was just bored and felt this was a second rate version of those classic movies where a web of coincidences between the otherwise unrelated main characters keeps bringing them together and causing havok to their plans.

I assume there was supposed to be some dark humor in it, but I'm not even sure because if that stuff was humor it fell flat with me.

Just finished and disappointed and I know now why Max didn't really promote or market this.

It was a good premise but really fizzled out at the end. I can't believe Soderbergh directed this although it had nice stylistic flourishes it just wasn't that compelling.

Watched the Hijack finale tonight and now this one…0-2.

In agreement that the last two episodes weren't quite as good as the first four, but I still really enjoyed the series overall. Would still recommend.

Zazie Beets and she's fine as hell. I hate how frumpy they dressed her but I get it, they were going for the Columbo vibe with her as she had incredible instincts on the show, but would have enjoyed seeing her incredible assets.
