Anyone else tried watching this? I'm two episodes in. Does it get better?
Right now it's bad acting with a tired, contrived plot.

Sort of like escaping the White House when everyone is looking for you.Definitely Not A Cop said:
The main guy was ok. The girl is awful, and most the other main characters are too. It's your typical popcorn Netflix show
Spoilers for the entire show: For anyone who has served at a military base, how often do they allow anyone, even if it's a person like the SOS, pass without fully inspecting their vehicle if the president is on the grounds? The idea that two people and two bombs got past Marine security at freaking Camp David on the same day just seems extremely unrealistic on the scale of the Matrix.
It's so freaking bad it's really good. The acting is bad, the writing/dialog is worse, the plot's so full of holes it almost makes no sense. But I can't turn it off. I think it's great! Total mindless mayhem. I thought it was pretty much over at episode 8, but no, they stretched it out another two episodes, and upped the ante with the absurdity.Rex Racer said:
LOL! I just posted about it, but my wife and I love it!
She wasn't shot. She was hit with shrapnel from a container. Still pretty silly, though.lunchbox said:
During the last couple of eps, I kept getting distracted by the VP's daughter who, after getting shot through the ankle/lower leg with a high caliber round, was able to just get it wrapped with a bandage so she could limp around. She was even able to make it from the cabin that blew up to the site of the Marine 1 blast fairly quickly. No one ever even offered her any crutches.
His father wasn't guilty though. It was a ploy to set him up as a double agent.AggieArchitect04 said:
OP here.
I finished this last night and it actually got better as the series went on. Not the greatest thing I've watched and pretty unbelievable at times (escaping the White House) but it wasn't a terrible watch.
I liked that they didn't take the nice way out and had Peter's father's guilt confirmed, but still allowed him to have a happy ending.
That's her character. Very droll. Check her in The Menu or The whale.AgE2theBONE said:
Agreed on the acting.
Some of the acting from the asian lady in the White House was high school one-act play level. Just stiff as a board sounding like she's just reading a script out loud
