Wound up watching it several times with my daughter when she was in the hospital. It's a really great film. I agree with others that for a movie built around music, the soundtrack is… fine.

Coco beats all listed easily.

**I typed this after reading about 10 posts. Didn't even come close to reading the whole thread. Posted this only to see that the two posters immediately before me nailed it. **

Disney needs to figure out how to produce an animated movie in the streaming service era, and these properties are probably good steps. It would help tremendously if they made the content something they can release in in China/globally and something that many customers won't boycott. Especially since many parents know a Disney movie will be on D+ relatively quickly.

2021- 23 saw strong performances by Minions: Rise of Gru, Sing 2, and Puss in Boots 2. All sequels, all avoiding cultural wars.

The new CoCo part of Philharmagic at Disney World is the best.

Encanto's songs and animation were top notch. The story was meh. But honestly, with as much play as some of these movies get in our house, I'd prefer good songs to a compelling story. Moana really has some bangers.

Frozen is fine and the kid loves it, but I didn't love the soundtrack as much.

And if you want some fun covers, these guys are killer (and have some cool features).

That was a fun rabbit hole to go down for 15 min this morning

Didn't like the storyline of Frozen 2, but Lost in the Woods redeemed the entire film. Not sure what they will do for a third one.

Toy Story 4 sucked badly. Toy Story 3 was a perfect ending. Maybe they can put the fifth one as taking place between 2 and 3.

Looking forward to Zootopia 2. The first one was excellent.

Moana was great and looking forward to seeing what they come up with for the sequel.

Encanto was like The Princess and the Frog for me - I didn't particularly care for the storyline but the music was so great I found myself watching it over and over.

Coco sucked.

Didn't they have the one with those blue human like creatures that were on a magic quest of some sort to find their dad?

I enjoyed it.. in fact, we need to go back and watch that one. It kind of fell through the cracks.

good takes but I love Coco.

how has it taken so long for Moana 2?? they should be rolling those out every other year. People would watch Moana 7.

I thought it was called Avatar.

Seriously though, I don't think any credible source has reported there's going to be a Moana 2.

I bet you any amount of money that Toy Story 5 will be heavy on Tim Allen's Buzz Lightyear after he was like the 8th lead in Toy Story 4 and was shut out from Lightyear, which tanked.

Frozen 3 will probably have Anna and Kristoff and their new kid. Anna and Elsa have grown apart over the years as Anna is busy running the kingdom now and Elsa is off on her nature walk.

The kid is experiencing similar powers that Elsa had at the same time and some ne'er-do-wells decide to try and capture their kid, Trak (I don't know, I just made up some weird sounding Scandinavian boy name.)

Elsa, Kristoff and Anna get back together and go off to get Trak back. They run into some other nature spirits who shed some light on what Trak is going through and why his powers are taking a different look than Elsa's. Elsa and one of the female nature spirits fall for each other.

They rescue Trak and defeat the evil blah-blah-blah and restore the crowned prince back to his rightful place in Arendelle. Elsa moves back in to train Trak, and the nature spirit moves in with them. And they live happily ever after. (Until Disney needs more money and another tragedy strikes.)

Oh and Olaf is there too.

Onward got screwed by pandemic timing, really fun movie that was one of the last films to release in theaters before everything shut down.

Zootopia 2 is pretty darn good. Could have used less overt social commentary but it was still a lot of fun.

I ended up enjoying it quite a bit, agree first was better but this was still solid and a good movie to go out with the family to

My wife and I loved it, but my kids thought it was ok. There were so many pop culture references, especially from the 80s and 90s, I think many of the jokes went over their heads. I actually think it's better than the first.
