Most people would probably say the Jack Reacher nonsense. Other than those can you think of a bad one? Vanilla Sky and Eyes Wide Shut were a little off to me, but I still will watch EWS from time to time.

You can say what you want about his weird Oprah thing, but the guy is amazing. I'm watching Last Samurai for the first time and it's really good.

Anyone? Other than Reacher, what was his worst movie? Is there one?

I like the first Jack Reacher. Never saw the second. And Vanilla Sky is a great trippy movie imo. Haven't seen it in prob 15 years though.

He is NAILS in Collateral. So is Jamie Fox. One of my fav movies.

Tom just looked like a doofus.



Have never liked Eyes Wide Shut that much either. And he was terribly miscast in Interview With a Vampire.

Since I read the book before the movie, cannot really argue that point. Then again, I don't know how much was left on the cutting room floor, either.

Grisham wrote more complicated characters than a less than two hour movie could really delve into. Rainmaker sucked donkey balls. A Time to Kill was bad as well. Over the top acting, poor direction.

I remember a story about the making of Fatal Attraction. There was a real concern than Anne Archer playing the wife being cheated on would make the Michael Douglas character completely hated. They played the movie with one scene deleted and then with it in the screening. It was when Michael Douglas messed up the sheets in the bed to make it look like he had been at home the night before as his wife was coming back home. The audience actually laughed at that as it was so relatable. So they kept that scene in.

If you want Jack Reacher as he was written in the books, watch the Amazon series. Reacher, in the books, is 6'5" with an intimidating build. The actor in the Amazon series has all of that (minus a couple inches).

Wife and I really enjoyed the series. Wife wouldn't watch the movies because she was such a fan of the books she couldn't get past Tom Cruise! (I secretly enjoyed the first one :-)
