Our thoughts on the current controlled EXTRATERRESTRIAL reality disclosure process and related US GOV cover-up? Once the uneasy, contagious giggling subsides, how will our civilization and the mislead sheep adapt to this publicly known reality? Are the good Shepherds withholding the truth in our best interest? Perhaps multiple species are involved?

Didn't think anyone knew this song. Love it even today. Bought the 45 back in the day. What a great dance tune at The ROXZ.

Surprised to see no mention of "Bohemian Rhapsody" yet. Anyways, personal favorite is "Dance Yrself Clean" by LCD Soundsystem. 3:05 mark.

It's always struck me as three distinct songs glued together and somehow it works. they are related thematically

1:20 intro "Stuck inside these four walls" more melodic part about the band being trapped
:46 interlude "If I ever get out of here" harder rocking about dreaming about escaping the corporate prison
3:00 main part "Band on the Run" more pop single-esque where they break free

The transitions are fantastic.

Combining parts of songs was kind of a Beatles thing Paul carried on, like they did on A Day In The Life', and 'I've Got A Feeling', and of course the Abbey Road medley.

Lennon sometimes combined completely unrelated themes in one song like on 'I Am The Walrus', 'Happiness Is A Warm Gun' and '(Just Like) Starting Over'

I don't know if I quite understand the premise of the thread, but Paradise by the Dashboard Light immediately came to mind with 2 jarring transitions. Absolute classic.

I almost went with Natural Sciences.

And of course a number of their longer songs from earlier albums.

You could make a case for Red Barchetta and maybe Camera Eye.

Xanadu.

Not exactly a favorite song but this one certainly comes to mind when discussing jarring transitions.

Silbermond is my favorite German band. Bist Du Dabei has a great fast-to-slow-to-fast transition. You don't need to speak German to recognize when the parachute opens at 2:04.

Highway Song by Blackfoot. The first half is all vocals and slower. The second half is pure southern rock with Medlock cranking the guitar at light speed. Very much in the style of Freebird with the slow first half and straight guitar, drums and keyboard the second
