Last night, after watching on Netflix The Glass Onion - Knives something (which was a GREAT movie btw), I decided to check out the Steve Martin/Martin Short comedy special (on Netflix). I found it a laugh a minute! If you're a Martin Short and/or Steve Martin fan... it's a must see. I asked my wife this morning, "Did you hear me laughing last night?" (she's in bed, I'm in the front room wearing headphones). "Yes. What the hell was going on out there?".

It. Was. Hilarious. Best show I've seen in 8 months.

yes it picks up. The series changes middle of 3. Then episode 5 is kind of slow burn again. However 6-12 it becomes amazing. This thing is a legit star wars movie. Better than the prequels. Better than the new 8 and 9 movies. It belongs with 4 and 5 - Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back and Rogue One. Once you see it all you realize it is actually better than the Mandalorian.

I didn't catch the Obi Wan thrown in there initially. If you like Obi Wan, there's no chance in hell you won't like Andor.

Also, if you like Mando, you'll like Andor more. It's almost comically objective the difference between those 3 shows.

The Expanse is great. The wife and I are currently binging Yellowstone (we're on Season 2), which has been good. I've been thinking about rewatching The Wire because it was so damn good.

You're right - we binged all three seasons last fall after my sister recommended it, I didn't realize the last season was in 2021. Looking forward to Season 4 this Spring though!

I took a long hiatus from new TV, only doing rewatches of favorites (not sure why, now -- lack of time? Too hard to get into something new?) -- BB, GOT, The Wire, Silicon Valley, Veep, Community, The Sopranos. But did dive into some newer stuff:

Ozark
Ted Lasso
Barry
White Lotus
Narcos: Mexico
House of Dragons

Currently watching Dahmer, will do Succession next.

Yeah, I enjoyed The Bear too. It doesn't hurt that I'm a big Wilco fan, since they played quite a few Wilco songs in that show. I also went on an Italian beef sandwich bender from watching that show. My family was sick of eating it. Just talking about it is making me hungry now.

Just got back from Chicago on a work trip and had a sandwhich at Al's downtown. We stayed downtown Chicago. Also the Billy Goat Tavern is a must as well for the burger, environment and beers.

My thoughts exactly! My wife and I ran across Your Honor over the holidays, and binged all of S1. We had never heard of it either. Just watched the first episode of S2, and it's still good.

Also loved recently:

The English (Emily Blunt in one of the best parts of her career, IMO)
Tulsa King (Stallone is great in this role!)
1923 (Harrison Ford…Helen Mirren…great supporting cast…YES!)
