Although I really enjoyed the casting of Tom Welling and Michael Rosenthal (great podcast guy by the way), I could never stick with Smallville's 90210-ness on a week to week basis
I am grateful that it introduced me to Sarah Carter though.

I was really sad when Alicia was murdered.
Smallville is something I will rewatch in almost it's entirety every couple of years. I really enjoyed it.
Yeah, there was some 90210-ness at times but the parade of gals they brought in from week to week makes me think that Tom and Michael were never late to work. Women of Smallville would have been a good poll during the pandemic.
The funeral of Jonathan Kent is one of the most beautifully done and sad funeral scenes on any series. Very well done.
And the way Lionel Luthor was portrayed and the way the dialogue of Lionel and Lex was written, with the history lessons Lionel would give to Lex to demonstrate the similarity to whatever situation Lex was in at the time, they were just fun and entertaining.
But now when I see Allison Mack on the screen, it's hard not to think about her troubles.
