I saw an article today that said he will probably have his leg amputated. Awful. Not sure he'll ever be back in a film.
Only if by choice. No way Hollywood throws him to the curb as an amputee. He'll have roles (and I'm sure scripts written specifically for him).

That was an all time Survivor moment.

I think that is a pretty bad take.

you don't think someone can act with a prosthetic leg?

Bruce Willis was LITERALLY suffering from dementia/aphasia and was still in movies!
If you've watched any of his recent movies, you'd know that's not really saying much.

If he wants to keep acting, I could see them working his disability into his aging Hawkeye story arc without too much difficulty.

And he could probably get a ton of voice only gigs.

Although I really enjoyed the casting of Tom Welling and Michael Rosenthal (great podcast guy by the way), I could never stick with Smallville's 90210-ness on a week to week basis

I am grateful that it introduced me to Sarah Carter though.

I was really sad when Alicia was murdered.

Smallville is something I will rewatch in almost it's entirety every couple of years. I really enjoyed it.

Yeah, there was some 90210-ness at times but the parade of gals they brought in from week to week makes me think that Tom and Michael were never late to work. Women of Smallville would have been a good poll during the pandemic.

The funeral of Jonathan Kent is one of the most beautifully done and sad funeral scenes on any series. Very well done.

And the way Lionel Luthor was portrayed and the way the dialogue of Lionel and Lex was written, with the history lessons Lionel would give to Lex to demonstrate the similarity to whatever situation Lex was in at the time, they were just fun and entertaining.

But now when I see Allison Mack on the screen, it's hard not to think about her troubles.

Sarah Carter turned back up on Faling SKies, which went from good show to laughable farce that inspired some of my favorite discussions on TexAgs ever.

Definitely a lot of hot chicks on Smallville. My favorite episode remains the Dukes of Hazard reunion with JOhn Schneider and Tom Wopat.

It's Michael Rosenbaum

If throat cancer survivor Val Kilmer can act in the biggest hit of 2022

I think they can find a way to have a guy with a limp in movies.

Val didn't talk.

Is Renner going to not walk?

Early on there was a Native American gal that turned into a wolf and killed contractors that were trying to develop a hotel or something on sacred ground, where they found the caves.

I was really hoping they would keep her around.

And of course Supergirl Laura Vandervoort was in that Werewolf drama that was interesting.

The earliest I remember seeing Jeremy Renner was in a tv series called The Unusuals from 2009. I enjoyed it, but it only lasted one season.

This thread took a wild turn

I did see Michael Rosenbaum tweeted James Gunn about being given a shot to play lex Luthor considering he has more experience than anyone else alive

Renner is a good actor and anything he gets cast in for the next couple of years will get a ton of free press, his career will be fine

Assuming he gets a good prosthetic leg, I see no reason he could not continue to work as an actor. He would probably be unable to perform some of the action-type roles he has done in the past. He may be aging out of those kinds of roles anyway.

Not sure how a Hollywood star can afford a good prosthesis

They were able to re-attach it after the plane he was on filled with smoke and he landed it single-handedly.

Survivor just had a contestant with a prosthetic leg who held her own out there.

Even if you think Survivor is the dumbest **** ever, this is all-world level bad-assery

That was awesome to watch! Thanks for sharing.

I don't know about you guys, but I'd be pissed at all those people telling me in the middle of the competition as my competitors that I could do it and keep going.

This season was pretty rare in how harmonious the cast was and appeared very happy for each other.

Bet they could write that into Mayor of Kingstown.
Ironically they edited Renner's (fictional) facial injuries out of MOK promotional posters for season 2.

Quote:

. . .
Paramount+ has edited marketing material for "Mayor of Kingstown" season two to remove facial wounds from lead star Jeremy Renner's face.
. . .
It seems the decision to remove the visible injuries was out of respect to the actor following his recent accident, as the crime drama's cocreator Hugh Dillon told the outlet: "It's good of the network. Everybody is sensitive to Jeremy".
