What the....no Nirvana in the Top 3. This "best of list" is a joke
I always thought the intro of "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straits was pretty cool.
I also saw where they have "Don't Fear the Reaper" listed, but they didn't mention the cowbell. In fact, I got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell. Gotta have more cowbell baby!

They forgot the beginning of Def Leppard's "Photograph" That one guitar "twang" before the riff still gives me chills...
So CSI Miami did some research using no. 2.
That was one of the better wasted 30 minutes of my life.

Where the #%@$! is "Couldn't Stand the Weather"?? Indeed, there isn't any SRV anywhere on the list.

1) The transition/end of "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails.
2) The transition/end of "Freak On A Leash" by Korn.
3) The transition/end of "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin.

What about that that 3 note riff in the middle of "Ten Years Gone" by Zep?
Great list. I see a compilation in my future. Sadly though, it will have to be the top 49, no way is Biz Markie getting on there.
How about the middle of 46&2? The drum solo and the the guitar slide.
Man, the ending bass line of "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" is so wicked cool!

No mention of the drum solo in the middle of "Innagaddadavida" (Iron Butterfly) completely negates the rest of the list.
The finale of Schism by Tool should be there as well

The middle, freaky section of "Whole Lotta Love" by L. Zep is an auditory bliss.

This should be the list of the next 50 coolest song parts, taking all the Zep parts into account that should be in front. For me, its the beginning of Kashmir. The big hit cymbal crash into that awesome undertone. It doesn't get any better, as that is my favourite song ever.
great list. i'm so good they included zz top's la grange. one of my all time favorite songs. and the beatles' come together, awesome song.

A very good list - I'd have at least half in my own list. My A&M connection is Barracuda - I was going to summer school and was crashed on a friend's couch at those apts on Jersey (now called George Bush)on the right just before you reach Texas Ave and about 2am I woke up to the sound of Heart singing that song. It was a good time in my life and the song always brings me back to that period.
I will go with the guitar into to VH's "Ain't Talkin Bout Love" or that single little note in the Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go"
The "swoosh, swoosh" sound of "Are You Experienced"...
