Going to hit the theater at 4:50 with the wife for this. Theater is a small one with recliners literally 1 mile from the house. Convenient to hit movies quickly, especially when they are only 90 mins

90 minutes is something I hope directors and studios start doing a little bit more of again. Ergo, I'll try it unless this gets poor weird of mouth reviews.
Movies that are going over 2.5 hours have to either be spectacular or a tremendous spousal favor, because I'm done with the 3+ hour movies in a theater.
90 minute movies sound great. It's the 45 minutes of trailers that puss me off.
This bear died in 1985 after ingesting several million dollars worth of cocaine. I can't help but think that Pablo Escobear might have been involved.
Haven't seen it yet but love the homage to Jurassic Park and "must go faster." So would this be inappropriate to take my 13 year old son? He loves Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul and we watch Die Hard every Christmas. This seems like a movie to take him instead of Antman, which I heard is pretty lame (but please don't go off on a tangent based on that comment).

I thought the mystery/detective backstory aspects were slow

Theres a fair amount of murder and gore but nothing worse than what is shown in the tv shows you mentioned. If anything its very over the top fake. Definitely some language but on par or less than Breaking bad.Prosperdick said:

Damn this movie was so much fun. It's exactly what you expect it to be. A bear eats a **** ton of cocaine and goes berserk. Its much more comedy than action too. The video above about knowing the words bear and cocaine was 100% correct.

It's got some fun moments but not as campy as Sharknado. It seemed at times they didn't know whether to lean into the absurdity like SN or actually try to be a true thriller. In the end it ended up somewhere closer to Lake Placid but with fewer one liners...

Hilarious movie
Still waiting for a movie that takes place in the 80s where people actually look like they're from the 80s. They got the music and some of the styles right, but the people always mostly look like they're from now, although Hot Tub Time Machine did try a little at least.

Saw it tonight. It is literally exactly what you expect.
Fun time. Too gory for me. But it was a fun time. The first half of definitely stronger.

Fun movie. Some of the humor, especially from the kid actors, kind of falls flat, but a lot of laugh out loud moments and some legit cringes as well.
