Beautiful picture, but the constant *pewpewpew* noise makes it really difficult to focus on the show.

I'll edit this post w a measurement of my room later but I was urged by my techy friends to go 85 inch Sony. I was reluctant because I thought it was ridiculously big.

I caved and got it and damn glad I did. It looks great on my wall and my room is not that big.

Edit to add room size.

It's 19x16 exactly w our couch almost 2 feet off the 19 wall and facing the TV on the other wall.

I grabbed a 77" LG OLED a couple weeks ago. I sit between 9-10ft from the screen and I love it. Only downside is the old entertainment console is too tall by about 6", so I've got an annoying head lift sometimes. Trying to avoid buying another piece of furniture, but I may not have a choice

Cut 6" off the entrainment console

Top or bottom. Whatever.

It crossed my mind. Not sure the lady of the house would be into that though...

If this helps, here's my 85" Sony in a relatively normal size living room.

Wall is a little over 11 feet wide.

Console is 8 feet wide.

Couch (where I'm sitting) is about 12 feet away.

Granted, the picture makes it look smaller than in real life, but it's never felt obnoxious to me, and if I can afford it, I honestly might even go bigger next time...

(Ignore the blue tape on the left wall, as I'm having new shelves put in.)
It would have been hilarious if your picture looked liked Vin Diesel's living room in Boiler Room

Related thought... I like Boiler Room more than Wolf of Wall Street

I have a 65" in my living room that we are comfortable with. I'd like to get a bigger one but it's hard to justify with us always on our phones or laptop. I figure I'll wait until 80+ inch tvs are below 1k as just a few years ago 75" tvs were mad expensive but now are reasonable.
