George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon to 'reunite for new Ocean's movie' 15 years after the last film (yahoo.com)

Also sounds like they would not do this if Soderbergh wasn't involved. He's the engine that drives the ship.

Nothing but the vaguest of rumor in that article.

That said, it wouldn't shock me if they made another, consider how much fun the cast supposedly had making those films.

i mean, i'd obviously watch it if they make another one, but i'd much rather see those three star in something else together

Matt Damon and Brad Pitt reprise their MCU roles. George Clooney stays Danny Ocean, and they have to break into the Avengers complex to steal something.

I saw Ocean's 11 at the Cinemark in CS the weekend it was released with several friends, it was a lot of fun then, and I still enjoy the hell out of that movie. I don't think I've seen another movie more than I've seen that one since.

If they get the whole crew back together I need another scene with Rusty and Topher Grace as well.

They'll have to decide whether they need to replace Bernie Mack and Carl Reiner.

I think I'd go with Chris Rock in place of Mack.
Alan Arkin could be a great replacement for Reiner.

Who knows if this comes to fruition but it's fun to think about.

No doubt this new movie have another Scooby Doo ending where there is a montage of new, previously hidden scenes that "explain" how they pulled off the heist?

And 2 or more double-double crosses where the mark gets looted of his/her money/fortune?

11 and 13 are some of the most purely entertaining movies ever put to film.

This seems like a good opportunity to introduce some actors from the generation after them, that could fit in the vibe.

Actors like Ryan Gosling at the upper end of the age range, guys in maybe 28-42 ish range which most of the cast was originally I think.
Needs to be people that can keep up with the wittiness, if that makes sense.

Shia Labeouf (the Danny type)
Will Poulter (the Rusty type)
Freddie Highmore (the nerdy Damon type)
Kieran Culkin & Macaulay Culkin as the brothers who are always arguing

Well the casting budget would be about $750 so you could definitely have a lot of money for sets.

I wasn't thinking lazily casting them as exact replicas of the original team, but sure.
Also Kieran Culkin is one of the lead roles of one of the biggest shows running, so dunno about that low casting budget

Gosling, Krasinki, Daniel Radcliffe, Jesse Plemons, Dev Patel, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Paul Dano, Donald Glover, Dylan O'Brien, Evan Peters, Miles Teller, Kieran Culkin, Glen Powell

I would pick about 4-5 of them to pair with the original cast in some way. They are all actors capable of deliving quick dialogue, and are all charismatic or captivating in some way.
I wouldnt write a story for them similar to Gone in 50 Seconds either, but an actual storyline.
I think we are due for a good bunch of heist movies.

That was already done, but with Scott Rudd in the first Ant-Man movie.

I loved all the oceans movies and watch them frequently… like, frequently. They had some of the best dialogue banter in all of movies!

Oceans 8 sucked though. Weak ripoff of a good thing.

Agree that if done, this would need to bridge to the next generation.

Donald Glover would be a perfect mesh with the feel of the movies. Almost feels like that needs to happen.

How about a Vince Vaughn / Favreau Vegas reunion as the villains?

Also Jian Yang from Silicon as the wacky Asian member.
