The Rehearsal
Season 1 (6 Episodes)

HBO + HBO Max

After even just one episode of THE REHEARSAL, I am so blown away by how genius and hilarious it is conceptually. NATHAN FOR YOU is an almost impossible act to follow, but it looks like Fielder is more than up for the challenge.

#TheRehearsal is one of most brilliant, funny and genuinely moving episodes of television I’ve ever experienced. It’s genius piece of art. Nathan Fielder is a national treasure and I couldn’t be more excited to see what the rest of this season has in store.

After just one episode I think I can say Nathan Fielder’s The Rehearsal is one of the best television shows I’ve seen in years.

The Rehearsal doubles down on what made Nathan For You great, which is Nathan Fielder weaving an insane web of lies. Except they gave him an unlimited budget instead of $5

Never knew who Nathan Fielder was until tonight. Started watching The Rehearsal with low expectations. I can’t believe what I just watched. The most original groundbreaking show in years. HBO really is the king of television.

Just started The Rehearsal, I’m barely 4 minutes in but it’s good to know that Nathan Fielder is still the fucking GOAT.

The Rehearsal achieves unprecedented heights in comedy it is like watching the moon landing my jaw was frozen on the floor in astonishment

17 minutes into The Rehearsal and I just want to say Nathan Fielder congrats on your Peabody award.

The Rehearsal premiere… my God. One of the greatest TV pilots maybe ever?

It’s kind of insane how much tension and humor The Rehearsal is able to draw out of these totally mundane moments, Nathan Fielder entering god mode

The Rehearsal is simply astounding

I think Nathan Fielder is genuinely one of the greatest comedians of all time. I'm very high and just watched the first ep of The Rehearsal and it's already incredible

The Rehearsal pulled off the rare TV premiere that lived up to my delusional high standards.

Both impressed and unnerved at the technical level pulled off.
It is like if Synecdoche, New York was considered an acceptable form of behavioral therapy in the real world.
Buzzing.

You have to watch The Boys firstTCTTS said:
Also, this thread should be five pages long by now. Things like "getting out of the house" and "going outside" and "spending time with your family" this weekend should pale in priority.

Just watched the first episode, and I must come clean: I thought it was uncomfortably weird from beginning to end.

I'm not super familiar with Nathan Fielder, but are these people *actually* real?? "Kor Skeet??" His hair looked spray painted on. Holy lord that was so uncomfortably hilarious.

That was seriously great, one of the more unique ideas for a show I can think of and had so much depth and attention to detail. I may need to watch again, but on the last scene, is the idea that he told him about the clues and then immediately followed up with how great of a guy he was? Or that he practiced telling him and then never actually did it?

Watched it last night. Fan of Nathan For You but didn't really know what to make of this. Will give it another chance tho. Kept thinking about how close I came to being murdered if I had made the girlfriend watch too. Just glad I took the " I'll just preview this one first before suggesting a possible new show for us"
Had the exact same experience with my wife watching Nathan for youElephantRider said:walton91 said:

My wife can't accept that she likes Nathan Fielder. When I was watching Nathan For You, she would complain and say how dumb it was. She would start the episode on her phone trying to ignore it, and would be watching it and laughing by the end. Then she went would say how stupid it was. Every episode, and it was the same with The Rehearsal.

That was incredible. I had high expectations after Nathan For You, which I love, and it surpassed them. His shows are such an interesting take on humanity and shine a light on the unseen of society. Plus, he's just hilarious and his attention to detail is unreal. So many little bits that had me cracking up, none moreso than the fake bartender saying she didn't know how to make a margarita. Also, it was uncanny how spot on the Kor actor was with the trivia answers response at the end. You could tell that was *exactly* what the real Kor wanted to say.
Can't wait for more episodes.
