Also 3 of the top 10 are George songs. He wrote such a small percentage of their songs but his best were cream of the crop.

"Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" does not belong on this list.

Interesting fact about And Your Bird. Lennon wrote it, but was largely indifferent about the song and never discussed it.

As a result, there is no firm knowledge as to what the song is about.

Disagree. I love it. One of my favorites even though many people dismiss it as bubble gum pop.

And from a critical perspective I think it speaks to their range. Part of what makes The Beatles great in my opinion is that they could do stuff like "Ob-La-Di" and stuff like "Something" and "I've Just Seen A Face" and "A Day in the Life" and a ton of other stuff.

My number 1 (Tomorrow Never Knows) isn't on the list. Also, I think Hey Jude is one of the most overrated songs ever and wouldn't make my Beatles top 20. The last 3 and a half minutes are just ridiculous.

In comparing the McCartney acoustics songs, IMO "Blackbird" is far superior to "Yesterday". It's one of the quintessential songs anyone who is learning to play acoustic guitar needs to learn.

I also love "I Will."

I am not sure if I'd put Blackbird above Yesterday overall as a song, but I was a little surprised to see Blackbird come in at 28 -- thought it should've been higher.

That just goes to show what incredible song writers they were. Amazing that they could have a list of 100 top songs and everyone recognizes almost all of them... over just an 8 year existence as a band!

Love that one.

Top 10 is basically interchangeable imo. I've always wondered how I would do a Fab 4 like they have fans do on the channel.

Also where is Why Don't We Do It In The Road? It's the best song on the white album just before the monkey song.

For me, In My Life is their best song.

So perfect and meaningful in its simplicity.

What's your top ten? Another great thing about The Beatles is that people can have totally different top tens and even if you disagree you're like "I get it."

Very subjective list. I wouldn't have been surprised if any of 66-75 had been in the top 20.

Glad to see Things We Said Today got some respect at 67. I started appreciating it more in the last few years, maybe because it actually seems more modern again?

Biggest miss to me was that With a Little Help From My Friends came in at 94.

Road tripped with the kids and we heard all 100, some more than once when we had to get to portions we missed. Just fantastic having them experience most for the first time. When we heard a song for a second or third time they were singing along. New generation of fans.

Very good for me too. I was not "off" the Beatles but haven't really listened to them for about 10 years. You forget just how amazing they were and how their sound evolved over the years. Many songs I didn't really give much time to crept into my top 20.

McKeon was a great host. Loved hearing how he first heard songs in real time when they were released.
