Major MEH for me on the headliners (although it'll be cool to see RHCP, I guess), and even more major MEH on the lower card. Weak weak weak.

Every time I see one of these festival lists, I'm amazed at just how out of touch I am with mainstream music. Like, I've heard all the headliners, but I *might* know an eighth of the rest.

I think out of the headliners, the only ones I'd actually want to see are RHCP and Lil Nas X, the latter not because I particularly care for his music, but I feel like his shows would be just a complete trip.

This is a terrible ACL. Don't even bother defending this ass lineup.

Exactly my thoughts, minus Lil Nas X or whatever. I've heard of maybe eight bands/performers. I can't see anyone being excited for this lineup. Oh well, another year skipped!

Peppers, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Spoon are good - the rest of that lineup, woof.

I like Early James but don't recognize most of those names.

I feel like RHCP has been a headliner at ACL at least two other times in the last decade. I like them, but it's kinda weak to dip back into that well for your #1 headliner. And yikes, the rest of the lineup is rough.

War on Drugs
Goose
Spoon
Billy Strings

Outside of RHCP headlining, that's Just about all I want to see. The Musgrave show will be insanely packed. I'm glad I got to see her before Golden Hour came out.

RHCP headlined in 2017 so not that long ago. I think early rumors were that Foo Fighters were going to be headliners but that's not much better since they headlined back in 2015.

I feel like every year ACL tries a different theme. They used to have such a specific style, but it seems to just be changing every year now as if they're trying to find out what works, but then don't ever stay with one.

That said, there's a decent electronic line up (Flume, Diplo, Zhu, Purple Disco Machine, The Midnight). But, knowing ACL, they'll probably have half of them playing at the exact same times.

I just looked it up, 2012 as well. 3X in 11 years is a lot for one headliner, IMO.

I'd prolly go if some of the bands lineup per day but some of those bands shouldn't headline. Phoenix is a top 5 favorite band of mine but I don't have any interest watching them at acl. I say them at the moody theatre years back & it was my favorite concert of all time. Probably an unpopular opinion here but spoon was very underwhelming the last time I saw them at acl. I'll go if I come across free tix but otherwise I'm not paying for the hassle. I'm old so these full day festivals wear me out & aren't fun.

Looks like I'll be skipping ACL for the 17th year in a row and counting.

Weekend 2 is the bye week for football, and Wet Leg is playing W2. Probably will wait for the daily schedule to get a single day ticket to see them if on the same day as Tobe Nwigwe, Billy Strings, Spoon, Goose, and/or RHCP

As a 25 year old, I really feel the top 8 is very weak for ACL, probably the weakest since I started going in 2014, but the rest of the lineup, the mid and undercards, are REALLY REALLY good. Plenty of artists I'd like to see. Going both weekends so I'll definitely be busy the whole day since I show up when gates open.

The midnight could be pretty fun if they got one of the main stages.

I feel like even as bad as some of the lineups have been, I've gotten FOMO and wanted to see at least one weekend.

This year looks like complete crap though.

No festival lineup will come close to the Hellfest 2022 lineup

Lineup is pretty weak for sure, but I'd go see Phoenix. Phoenix 'til I die.

The best part about this is that Billy Strings will play on Friday both weekends and likely have Thursday Dallas or Houston shows in which the dates are already on the tour schedule but cities and venues not yet revealed.

I agree with others that this lineup is mostly trash.

Damn, I'm old. I recognize 6 names. Seems like ~5 years ago I knew about half of the lineup.

Lineup is maybe one of their worst ever? Also - Noah Cyrus?? What?

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are REALLY fun in concert. None of the other "headliners" really deserve to be top billed (SZA , Casey Musgraves, Flume, and Paramore are good but not headliner good).

Phoenix, Diplo, James Blake, spoon, Manchester Orchestra, and of course Asleep at the Wheel would be the draws for me, but that's just not enough to commit to the time and cost of a weekend festival.

And now I'm sad that RHCP are playing Arlington and ACL but skipping Houston. The Strokes are opening for them as well.

My last ACL was 2011. I'd take that lineup in a heartbeat over the current one.

Went to both 2004 and 2011 and others. Probably not going 2022 unless I do.

I went the first three years including this one and haven't been since but this was a great lineup for sure. Robert Randolph sitting in with Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals on "Temporary Remedy" is an all time top 10 concert moment for me. You've got to go 40 names deep just to get to My Morning Jacket. John Butler way down the list on a small stage. I could go on and on. So good.

Plus the two late night olospo shows at The Vibe were off the charts. The local club shows surrounding the festival really fell off over a decade ago as well.

Saw LTJ with New Found Glory and Hot Mulligan(playing Friday Riot Fest) this past year and it was such a fun show. Took me back to my high school days and those old guys still get down!
