I thought it was a good one. No comparing to the first, but that just really could never happen. The original was one of the best movies of all time.

I was still a young teen when I saw it the first time. Even at that age, I recognized that it was essentially the same movie, but without great characters like Quint and Hooper. Just Brody and a bunch of teens. Another shark. Just too repetitive.

Then many years later, I read a story that Spielberg was originally going to return to direct the sequel, but would have told a much different story, that being the story of the USS Indianapolis that Quint monologued in the original. I think that would have made for a much better movie and a sequel that would not have out-right retold the original story.

Not today. Heard of it, but never saw it.
