I did the same thing a couple of years ago (watched all of the MCU movies for the first time -except Hulk, Iron Man 3, and Ant-Man 2). For me, all of the Phase 1s were just okay, except Avengers, which was great. It gets better. Y'all will love Infinity War/Endgame.

Agree this isn't my favorite, but it's essential watching due to all the references throughout the rest of the other movies and to get to know what drives and motivates Cap and to understand his version of righteousness. Also, this movie is essential for the payout at the very end of the seriesQuote:

I want to start by saying I didn't dislike any of these films. They were all "meh" - "holy balls amazing". And this was just…meh. There was just a lot of back-story building with this one and it just wasn't that interesting. If they'd shortened it a bit (like Hulk but we'll get to that) and gotten to the action a little quicker I probably would rate it a bit higher. But other than a few cool scenes and lines ("I had a date" was a nice way to end it) it was pretty bland….and corny as hell.

As has been said, there are some real treats in front of you and in my opinion, it makes the ones you've already seen even better cause the tiebacks are very good.

After you finish the MCU you can go back and really see all the groundwork they put into phase one. Obvious stuff, completely trivial stuff, you name it.
I think an MCU rewatch is rewarding when you combine it with screen crush or new rockstars breakdown videos. However avoid them the first time through... So many spoilers!

why would you ask that? of course i would....i mean i only have the incredbule hulk as #3 on my list it's not like i put it ahead of iron man or anything....

Thor -- Anthony Hopkins boosted the cast; and the scene where Thor could not lift his hammer inside the make-shift SHIELD facility was great
Iron Man 2 -- Sam Rockwell was terrific

Hulk is the only MCU movie I never saw.
The phase I movies weren't that great, and yet The Avengers might be the best comic book movie ever. It's incredible that the MCU has been able to pull it off, and just add complexity and quality story telling in each phase. If only the other massive Disney property could learn something from that…

It's a fantastic movie, and I'm legit glad you enjoyed it, but really… you haven't seen anything yet. I'm so jealous and so giddy for what you have in store.
