Lily James is Ana de Armas level gorgeous.

She doesn't look like Pamela in the face or body...what they couldn't find a paralytic Ethiopian transexual to play the part?

Sebastian Stan looks way too clean to be Tommy Lee in the trailer. Tommy Lee always gives the impression he hasn't showered in several weeks.

Lily James and Sebastian Stan are pretty damn good actors to pull this off


I mean Lily from Downton Abbey to this is nothing short of excellence

I just finished episode two....and I have no idea if I can do another episode....no fault of the acting.....it's just Pam and Tommy are so unlikeable I have a hard time staying interested

Basically, when you watch this series, you won't be seeing James. You'll be seeing James in a costume. Certainly takes away the appeal for me.

Well, there you go. When I saw the promos, I thought it was girl that plays Harley Quinn at first, but the promos move pretty fast and hard to tell.

So they really did a scene with Tommy talking to his d*** and his d*** talking back to him.

So dumb.

The first three episodes are entertaining. How accurate is all this? I've never heard the story of how the tape was released but it almost seems too wacky to be made up.

Still really dumb imo. They could have pulled off the scene without taking the series to a ridiculous level of stupidity. Don't get me wrong. Not expecting emmy-level stuff here in any event.

My impressions thus far:

- Good cast, but the story itself is not an eight-part mini-series
- Lily James is doing decent with the material she had, but Anderson just isn't a very interesting person beyond the obvioius
- Sebastian Stan is excellent playing the many sides of Tommy Lee, though the real Tommy Lee may not be that complex
- "That" scene was kind of disappointing given all the press
- For all the effort they put into replicating Pam and Tommy, their phoned it in with the Jay Leno caricature

1. Pamela was hotter than the fake James mock-up until Tommy Lee ruined her. There was a time when she was probably the most recognizable pinup in the world.
2. Pamela is as dumb or dumber than the James character of her.

It's a little strange watching two people on screen with private parts that are completely manufactured.

It's a bit more about the tape getting into the wrong hands and the idiots that try to mass produce it than just them making a sex tape.

I'm losing interest. Nothing wrong with the last episode but this is a series that should be binged.

After "giving it a shot" and thinking it was silly at first, I've actually enjoyed the series a bit.

They are really making you feel for Pam and Tommy in this series. It was a really crappy thing to happen to them.

Well, that was not the ending I expected, specifically the song with the closing credits.
