so do yall think dan is actually in 1994 or is he in the other world. I think maybe Dan went to 1994, Samuel went to the Voss era and melody went to current time. Or he is just being tricked and is stuck in the other world.

If he is indeed stuck in 1994, he can go talk to his dad about this whole thing because his dad apparently knows about it in that time. Unless the fore st his parents house already happened. If he is in 1994, hopefully he is smart enough to put all his money in AAPL and MSFT.

they didn't explicitly show how dan's family died, so I'm betting season two is about that. I wonder if they go full Dark and have everything bad that has happened to all these people being caused by the original time jump in 2020.

davenport mentioned that dan being alive was just a fluke because he was on a walk when either the people trying to let the demongod out or keep him from being let out burned down the house. I think the fact that theybwere killed in the fire was pretty central to the whole story so I just don't see them saying JK they weren't really killed in that fire.

I meant who's actually behind fighting the Khaelego worshippers? What if it was Dan who is behind it after being sent back to the past? If we are dealing with a Dark type situation, we have almost 90 years (that we know about so far) for one of the people who went to the other dimension to get back and organize a resistance. Have no idea if any of that will happen or not, but there are a lot of possibilities open when you start playing with time travel.

Excited to see where it goes.

Ooooh ok I see what you're saying. Makes sense. I LOVE time travel and multiple dimension movies and shows so I hope they really crush it in season 2.

Really good future battle brewing here between the good guys/Baldung witches, the Kaelego cult & LMB/Virgil. The pacing of the show overall could stand to pick up a little... I think it should now that all the mysteries are out of the bag.

The first 4 episodes are extremely creepy. I'm not sure how they get that creepy factor back in subsequent seasons.

5 episodes in

the brother reveal was interesting. His denial of the supernatural possibility of the cult seems disingenuous. Even the hallways of the research facility look like Vissar hallways. When Dan speaks with Melody there is floating sht surrounding her. Stardust mold perhaps?

You will see what that stuff is in due time. Spoiler on what it is, but it doesn't ruin the show by any means. it's just a device to show that they aren't in reality, but in the other world

I don't think I'll fully understand this series until I watch it a few times.

Did they ever explain what was up with the mold?

As I understand it it was just the other world leeching over in to our world.

I noticed something about the dialogue, and it became a bit of a running joke. They only use one curse word: f*** or the derivative f***ing. And they use it A LOT for dramatic emphasis, almost to the point where it seems forced. But in contrast, they basically never use hell, damn, crap, c***, c***, d***, p***y, s***, b****. It's like all these people only learned one dirty word, but they love the one they learned.

Noticed the same. So many F bombs that were used like they were trying to fill some f bomb quota. Like the word meow in super troopers

I have 2 episodes left, but by episode 4 or so, this has become a distraction for me. I'm finding myself looking for awkward usage of **** and I'm looking for the use of any other curse word.

One of my favorites is when she's having a reasonable conversation with Annabelle's doc and he's being calm and agreeable, and toward the end of the conversation she's like, "can you take these ****ing cuffs off?"

If Dan is in 1994, he's upgraded. I'd be happy and stay there.

Aggie football program doing well. Cowboys at peak triplets. Quality music. Solid run at the movies. Go put down a few sports bets and live the good life. If you "save" me by bringing me back to 2022, I might have to kill you

If Dan is truly in 1994, its before his house fire. S2 could climax with him trying to stop his families death, unraveling that mystery, only to be sucked back to 2022 before succeeding. But I dont think dan is in 1994, he didnt enter the door, unless it is implied he opened door #2 instead of following Pendras and samuel.

he is for sure pre 2001 as the twin towers are shown in the reflection of the window in the last shot

My point is whether it was reality or not.

Through e4, that end was kind of crazy but otherwise I've been a little bored so far.

So, I enjoyed Season 1 because it was unique and had a quasi freaky mood/mystery. I don't see it translating to future season's since we are now desensitized and now feels more like a Stranger Things Two. Hear on out will be your typical plot twists to keep you going which will age quickly. Hope I'm wrong because I'll definitely keep watching, so we'll see.

If Dan paid attention to sports at all he could make big money, but we all know Dan isn't a sports fan. He could definitely make a **** ton off of Google, apple, Tesla, etc. Dan is about to be the wealthiest man on the planet!

Finally watched the rest and it stunk.

I just didn't care about any of the characters, nor did I believe they cared about each other.

Was rooting for Kalego to kill everyone at one point.

Finished last night. I like it but agree the ending was just Meh.

I think this could have been really good if it had been 4 or 5 episodes. 8 made it drag way too much.

Finished last night.

Started off decent.

By episode 4 it had sputtered. By episode 6 it was laughably bad.

"Found footage" + "alternate dimension" + Rosemary's Baby.

Crammed it together but then seemed like it was getting written on the fly. No real rules setup at all, just "oh you have to have this item for this sance to work" and "oh that's a kids camera from 1982 that I happen to have in my closet!" ... couple that with a main character that apparently can "hack into" the cam feeds with ease despite his background giving no real indication he was capable of such things.

Just a mess. I'd watch Rosemary's Baby three times in a row over this.

The overuse of "****" in the last two episodes was so so bad. The dialogue on this show was B-movie-level.

Just finished this over the weekend when I was down for the count with the flu. I was underwhelmed with the ending, but overall I was definitely entertained and will watch the next season.

I didn't think it was near as bad as what Proposition Joe thought. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that a guy whose profession is to restore video tapes from the 80's and 90's has a 80's/90's camcorder in his storage closet. And I like that not everything was explained (like the tuning forks) as it provides content for future seasons to uncover and leaves the audience guessing.

The over-cussing was a bit noticeable. I bet there will be some throwback episodes next season showing when the witches originally trapped the demon.
