First 3 episodes were awesome. Probably the only show I will never skip the opening credits.

Main takeaway, make friends with an eagle because that hug looked very satisfying.

I don't think she's evil, but a lot of this show will probably involve her coming to grips with what her mom really is.

I really had low expectations for this show but it has far surpassed anything I could've imagined for it. I find myself waiting for the next installment and put it up near Ted Lasso in terms of genuine lol moments per episode.

Episode 4 was great! Vigilante is incredible and the ending was a good setup for the rest of the season.

Really liked episode 4. Vigilante continues to be great. Another good example of changing from the source material for the better. Thought the conversation with the neighbor about villains and Batman was hilarious, and Gunn was very meta with that.

I'm slightly amending my Blue Beetle theory.

Current theory is the butterflies on Earth (senator and family) aren't scouts, but refugees from The Reach. Butterflies like Murn and the waitress work for The Reach, and are advance scouts for an alien invasion.

I've never really dabbled in fan theories before, and usually find them annoying, but I see now why they can be fun.

Vigilante's dialogue with the white supremacists in jail is worth the price of admission for the entire series

Agreed, interesting side note. He was not the original actor to portray Vigilante but that actor had creative differences with Gunn and left. Very fortunate to have THIS actor portraying Vigilante instead

Apparently they had filmed 5 1/2 episodes before the old actor split

Another really fun episode. Loved when he brought up how many people must have died because all Batman does is put supervillains in jail, only for them to break out, and strike again. The vigilante character is great, his jailhouse **** talking was epic!

I'm just hoping that this show gives more attention to real "comic book" villains (the Butterflies) instead of the boring strawmen of white supremacists.

Because we've already seen this DC comic book show before: it was called "Watchmen." I mean, seriously....that entire show seemed to focus on white supremacy, so it's been done recently.

If it's just a side plot, then fine. But that whole "white supremacists bad" thing gets old really quick.

So...yeah.....I really like the show. It's funny. Good amount of character development in episode 4. Glad to see the series isn't going to be really thin when it comes to the characters

I can't believe they haven't figured it out yet....

Let's not forget that Gunn was effectively the target of cancel culture not long after GofG 2. He was outcast from Disney after they indicated they'd no longer work with him because of something he posted on social media quite a long time ago. Disney did an about face and they're doing GotG 3 and the GotG Christmas Special.

The entire reason he did The Suicide Squad was because WB/DC saw an opportunity when Disney washed their hands of him, and they took it. They decided to work together again on this show. Anyone thinking James Gunn is remotely cool with anything in the cancel culture periphery is wrong. Any social commentary or dialogue along the lines we've heard on this show is sarcasm, irony, satire, etc. Gunn does this stuff for entertainment value, he doesn't care about making content in support of social justice, I think we can pump the brakes regarding any sort of ideology that is being inferred.

This is the first DC show I've ever looked forward to.

It only took a Marvel writer to get there.
