January's typically a dumping ground for movies, right? That's the vibe I'm getting here.

Yeah, Morbius looks cool but the rest of that doesn't look that great.

As much as I love the hero/comics movies (and I really do!), I'm really hoping for some great fun movies a that ARE NOT in that category this year. That new one with Tom holland "Uncharted" looks fun and the one with Sandra bullock "The Lost City" look good.

Has there been an announcement on when The Last of Us will premiere on HBO? It seems like it should be this year sometime, but with Covid, you can never really tell.

no date yet other than late 2022
they are still actively filming some things and had even recently recast the actor playing Bill.

Is Snowpiercer worth watching?

not really.

it is a show to watch when exercising or cleaning or cooking, when you cannot be bothered to pay too much attention to it.

This is technically a 2021 movie, as it's already released in LA for awards qualification, but yeah, it'll go a little wider later this month, on the 28th.

HBO's big fall show almost always debuts in October, so I'd be willing to bet the same here.

In fact, if I had to guess, HBO's primetime Sunday night drama slate for 2022 could look something like this...
