Spoiler alert: neither one are going to matter much to the success of this movie. It will hit a billion without blinking.Drawkcab said:
Well they better get him on board because he has over 15 million followers and the director has less than 5 thousand. One of them can control the fans view of this film and it's not the one most of y'all are backing.

Wait, did Tim Burton direct this Buzz Lightyear movie? If so, then I'm going to skip. Every movie he does is crap.
Disney also let us see basically the opening 30 minutes of the movie and right off the bat you realize it's not what you're expecting. Very emotional. Almost Up-esque. The new trailer skips all of that. Really excited to see the full film. #Lightyear

Don't know how I would feel about a movie about Woody and Jessie.
Don't you remember Rex's origin story? A little known 1993 film called 'Jurassic Park'? At least that's why I assume a kid in 1995 had a toy T-rex.Definitely Not A Cop said:
Question though, are there any other toy story characters you would want to see a "origin story" (for lack of a better word) for?
I think a Rex movie would be fun.
Lightyear has absolutely HUGE "this was announced during a shareholders presentation" energy

I thought #LIGHTYEAR was fine — not great, but fine. It didn’t go “to infinity and beyond” & it didn’t reach the brilliant & clever heights of the “TOY STORY” movies. I was underwhelmed, but it’s sweet, fun & entertaining, which is all you can ask for in a movie these days! pic.twitter.com/bKjZIS7Weq

Myself and @TheSwaggyBlerd checked out #Lightyear and man what an adventure! A very fun and creative way to reintroduce us to an iconic hero. Chris Evan and Keke Palmer shine but Socks steals the show. FULL REACTION HERE: https://t.co/4GjFkwqirU pic.twitter.com/EVK8qAhM5F

#Lightyear exceeded my expectations. A solid script and smart casting ensure Buzz's story delivers - esp. Sox, the scene-stealing cat. Likely the family film of the summer, it tugs at the heartstrings, serves up laughs and thrills, and leaves you feeling good. Expect a sequel! pic.twitter.com/zEDW6uOTMg

Obvious commercial cynicism aside, #Lightyear is a solid three-star outer space adventure flick with a pulpy screenplay, fun characters and strong visuals. It intriguingly uses its own cultural irrelevance as a focal point for its character arcs. #Sox deserves his own movie. pic.twitter.com/bfNGn94HiQ

Pixar’s #Lightyear is a BLAST & a half! Big, exciting, emotional & goofy sci-fi that’s got STAR WARS vibes and even BILL & TED’S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE vibes. Truly, it is fantastical storytelling at its absolute best. Loved every second - top tier Pixar for me. BIG recommend! pic.twitter.com/DObE9dledy
