Turned into an alcoholic and was booted off Jackass 4.

Sounds like he is in need of serious professional help to kick his substance abuse. I believe pretty much all the Jackass guys are clean/sober for the most part...except for him. I think he was allowed to partake in the movie as long as he stayed clean, and he didn't, so he was removed. The producer, Jeff Tremaine, has a restraining order against him because he threatened his family after he was removed. I've seen a couple of clips of Steve-O's podcast on youtube and I want to say he indicated he's just surrounded by enablers and they don't make him take responsibility for his actions. It's pretty sad, I mean Ryan Dunn was one of his best friends and he died I don't remember how long ago because he died in a drunk driving accident IIRC.

It's crazy that Steve-o is clean, sober, and arguably the most successful post-Jackass. His youtube channel is pretty great.

I love the question and the 1am posting time. One of life's great unanswered questions. But seriously, I've looked this up before myself and yeah, he basically can't get/stay clean. It's really unfortunate.

Very sad. He and Dunn were always my 2 favorites. One dead, one headed that way if they can't turn their life around.

Trying to live that life at almost 50 is pretty sad. He always came off as a real a hole. I thought it was funny, but not someone I would want to hang out with. The rest of the gang didn't seem that way.

Gonna be a dead ringer for his dad by next week.

It's really sad. The guy has serious issues and it certainly sounds like he won't make it much longer at this rate.


Also, as someone who was in Junior High for Jackass and thought it was the greatest thing ever. I think this new movie is just going to be kind of depressing. Hope I'm wrong but I'm not expecting much.

Ryan Dunn is dead, Steve O is sober (which is good don't get me wrong), Bam got kicked off and is a train wreck and Knoxville looks like Jamie Lee Curtis now. Watching a bunch of middle aged guys do stunts just doesn't feel the same.

You could tell that was always one of Bam's biggest fears and insecurities back on Viva La Bam. I'm guessing he struggles big time with his weight gain (and everything else probably)

I met him a long time ago. He did some appearance at this small hick bar in Lufkin Texas with Don Vito. Dude was really cool but every bit as wild as you'd imagine

It's a shame that even his biggest fear isn't enough to get him to clean up his act and stop destroying his liver/abusing alcohol which presumably is attributing to his weight gain. Addiction is a hell of a disease.

They did this in Japan in the first or second movie I believe. Watching the extremely uptight and polite Japanese people have to react to such a scene killed me.
