I searched for this and couldn't find anything.

Friend of mine suggested this to me couple weeks ago, I started it up over the weekend driving back and forth from the ranch.
Seriously, some of the funniest content i've ever listened to.

Fictional storyline of a guy podcasting from his garage in Burbank, Cali of the goings on in his neighborhood and the shenanigans that follow. The Promo's for the podcast are hysterical of local businesses. The music for the promo's are amazing as well

First episode was released in September 2020 so it's still going on, i believe episodes drop about every month.

The description of the podcast reads "Freelance insurance adjuster Doug Duguay uses his self-hone investigatvie skills to chronicle suspicious activities around his home and neighborhood in the Rancho Equestrian District of Burbank, California

I'd never heard of it but looked it up because of this. I'm about 3/4 of the way through the first episode and it's pretty damn good. I have legit laughed out loud couple of times.

Thanks!!

On episode 2 now. The frisbee golf commercial has me in stitches.

Holy crap. This is the funniest thing I've listened to in a long time. Jan Robinson can make anything. The frisbee golf spot was epic.

Thank you OP for the post.

It has kind of a Tim and Eric or Tom goes to the Mayor feel.

I'm in thanks to this thread. So many great lines.

It's not just a hummingbird feeder. It's a Jan Robinson Hummingbird Feeder.

There is a tiny bit of upkeep. You'll need to learn to grow coral and buy a wave machine that mimics the currents of the ocean.

Y'all......I'm effing dying. The arguments between the pool guy, his wife, and Doug while "Jessie's Girl" is playing in the background with the GD parrot (Green Banana) squawking "MICHAEL DOUGLAS!" is absolutely killing me.

And Cephalopods Are People is my new favorite band.

Ditto. It builds on itself. It's kinda similar to Arrested Development. First episode is meh ad it took me a while to get into it but once you realized the jokes building on itself, you really get it.

The only thing that I could have done that was funnier was have an ad for Pete's Pool cleaning right before he called to fire him. He did the ad for Dominic's yoga right after he confronted him and the panned awkwardness was pretty great.

Sounds very much like an old Phil Hendrie show character.

First episode was pretty bland, but the jokes started building on themselves.

It's not just a bird feeder, or a shirt, or pants -- its a Jan Robinson -- those three things.

I thought the same thing. Give the second episode a try. Like someone above said it reminds me of the Phil Hendrie show -- takes a little bit to get it set up.

the "Take Gary Down.org" promo was my favorite so far, and it came right after Gary's car wash commercial.

It drags at times, but the bright spots are worth it.

It's definitely not for everyone, but if you're into slow burn comedy this is priceless.

I love the cold reads and total lack of prep his character has for the ads.

...."oh, so they're selling frisbee golf courses?"

I built a mountain was a great culmination episode. I'd say you could drop in there and not know what was going on but still laugh.

His description of the foosball players crack me up. "these guys look like they haven't walked in years, but their fists are made of steel," "look like a bag of potatoes with cinder blocks for fists" I can't remember the rest of them but they were all good.

Was driving around New Mexico this week, so I gave this a shot. First couple of episodes were rough, but it got better. Not a must listen in my book, but it's amusing.

If you like this one, I'd highly recommend "This Sounds Serious." Start with Season One. I'm a big fan of that podcast.

There is def a formula here

He writes and performs a really long 80s song. And plays it twice
Retells the same story 8x each episode
Barely moves the plot each episode

Groundbreaking

How long do you want to ignore this user?

Haha yea I got through 7 episodes and I'm having a hard time convincing myself to keep going. The re-telling of the same stories over and over and over again makes it kinda brutal to bet through. It's like he's recapping everything so that people can jump right in and not have to start at the beginning. But that's all that the episodes are so nothing new is added to the story and no new laughs for people who have listened to all of them.
