The trailer did another thing I can't from trailers today. They reveal too much. It shows how he becomes Carnage, and I realize it is different from the books. It shouldn't have been a part of any reveal.

This venom version is just as bad or worse than the Toby spiderman 3 version. Please do not touch spiderman with this garbage.

Any early impressions? I thought the first one was highly enjoyable. Hope this one is at least as good.

We have tickets tomorrow at 9. Pretty dang excited!

Depends on the movie but I can't help but go watch big budget disasters for a laugh. Call me a sadist.

Granted A-List and a theatre 5 minutes away makes that possible. I certainly wouldn't spend money on this.

Wife and I enjoyed the first one, but only because of Hardy. Writing was bad in a lot of spots and it could have just been done so much better. Still, I t was fun enough for us to want to see the next one…when it streams.

You know what's wild?

The first Venom movie opened on October 5th, 2018. Two weeks later, Halloween premiered.

Here we are in 2021 and Venom: Let There be Carnage is opening on October 1st and two weeks from now, Halloween Kills opens.

Venom was the first movie I watched after signing up for A-List in 2018, and my first movie after moving to Florida.

If not for Shang-Chi, this would've been my first one after re-activating A-List, which would've been a neat coincidence.

This movie was terrible. Do not waste your money. Almost felt like getting up half way through.

Weirdly the critics score is double what the original had on RT. So very divisive it seems.

venom was my absolute favorite character when i was a kid. i thought the first one was just ok, and i really like tom hardy. i will see this one and hope its a little better than the first.

It was an entertaining comic book movie. Probably lower end of Top 15 Marvel movies if that says anything. And that's from someone who saw Endgame at 7am on opening day- Gf thought I was Insane! Tom Hardy is a perfect fit for the role. Half way through I realized Venom sounds pretty dang similar to Hardy's voice with Bane! Definitely lots of CGI mega scenes that seemed a little over the top- but I went in expecting that. Don't google the end credit scene as it's pretty dang HUGE for the future of Marvel. See it in person first. If you aren't a huge Marvel buff you won't like the movie- at all. To be honest, without the end credit scene it's an average movie- at best.

Dear god tell me they aren't tainting the marvel universe with these flaming sacks of crap movies.

That was worth it for the reaction to the credits scene alone.

They tainted it with the second MCU movie, Incredible Hulk.

I enjoyed both Venom movies as an experience with my teenage sons. Fall asleep somewhere in the middle after gorging on popcorn and drink. I woke up during the final battle and when I saw it was only at the 1:15 mark I thought oh **** this is just the end of act 2 and I need to go back to sleep. But then the move just ended and it was satisfying. Great end credits scene my 16 year old was flipping out. I spend most of the time laughing at the ridiculous Tom hardy accent and mannerisms while remembering that he is one of my favorite actors

$90M opening. Best of the pandemic era and even beats out the first Venom by $10M.

Sigh. So do we think this means Venom is in No Way Home, Venom enters the MCU, or Spider-Man appears in Venom 3? I'm hoping it's the last one and doesn't affect the MCU at all.
