And I see the guy with the shotgun at Tesla's mountain cabin and say to the rib, "hey, I think that's the guy who played Smagol..."

You see I have a bit of a knack for facial and voice recognition - can't remember any actors names, but I can always say, "hey that's the guy from this movie who played this role..." and 49 out of 50 I've nailed it. I am also really good at guessing height and weight of people on the masked singer. My wife thinks I should be a Carney...

All that to say I was flicking through photos of Andy Serkis on IMDB to prove myself right (again). And ran across this one: that's Bilbo Baggins and Smeagol having a interrogatory chat on Black Panther. Got a good chuckle when I realized that!

I assume you are talking more about the secondary characters and supporting actors vs. the leading actors and actresses who seem to always work together or who do a string of movies together.

One that comes to mind is that my wife finally got me to watch Love, Actually, where I noticed Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson on screen together. I knew them together from the Harry Potter series (Snape and Trelawney). My wife mentioned they were in another one together as well.

I also remember on like the second or third time watching the MCU seeing Chris Evans and Scarlett Johannsen together and connecting it back to Perfect Score.

Almost all the following pairs of Sherlock Holmes and Watson are in the MCU:
RDJ: Ironman and Jude Law (appears in Captain Marvel)
Cumberbatch: Doctor Strange and Martin Freeman (appears in Civil War and Black Panther)
John C Reilly (appears in Guardians of the Galaxy)

We are only missing Will Ferrell, who is possibly replacing the deceased Chadwick Boseman in the Black Panther sequel. Spoiler alert: it will go poorly.

There's a scene in Man of Steel where both Helo and Gaeta from Battlestar Galactica (2004) are both working for the US military and in the same room but do not interact.

Same movie has both Morpheus and Commander Lock from The Matrix films.

When I looked up the cast list (I could have only stated with certainty that Russell Crowe was in that one), I proved my thought correct when I had thought, gee, that sounds like Vision of the MCU. Paul Bettany portrayed the naturalist character in M&C.

My bad. They either dubbed his voice, or he sounds just like Paul Bettany when he spoke to Howard Stark in his brief cameo.

I've been trying like hell to get my wife to watch The Prestige and I just can't get her to bite. The premise scares her away for some reason. Meanwhile, she's sucked into Doom Patrol. Trying again this weekend.

Speaking of Doom Patrol....James Bond is in both Doom Patrol and Flash Gordon.

I have a knack for this kind of thing as well. When Hamilton became a big thing and I saw Lin-Manuel Miranda I said "Hey, that's the guy on House."

My wife thought I was an idiot so I had to look him up and prove it. He even raps on House. Cracked me up when one of the songs in Hamilton had a line that goes "Hit em quick, get out fast. Chickaplow!"

He says chickaplow on House and it stuck in my mind because it's such a unique word.
