Episode 7 - Poe and Finn steal the TIE fighter and crashed on the planet.
That wasn't a TIE Fighter, at least not the ones from the original trilogy. That was a TIE/sf which is a Special Forces variant of the TIE/fo, a tougher, shielded version of the original TIE.
