Great series. Was absolute appointment television for a stretch of the 90s. Tons of cool ideas and great episodes, but ultimately collapsed under its own conspiratorial weight. There's only so many times you can see aliens and then the next week argue that aliens might not be real.

A 10 episode reboot on HBO could be awesome.

I think in one of the documentaries they referenced it as kind of a joke, but when binge watching the series it's unreal how often they got away with the following dialogue in the first 10 minutes of an episode:

Muler: <explains some weird event>
Scully: Sure Mulder but I don't see how that makes it an X-File?

It's like watching Law and Order episodes where you start seeing the exact template used and how easily they can churn them out.

I maintain that The Unnatural is the best episode they ever did.

Mulder and Scully Meet the Weremonster from Season 10 was pretty good as well.

Bad Blood is my favorite. I remember seeing Luke Wilson in movies and thinking "oh that's the guy from Xfiles"

That was a good one too. That one also had Patrick Henna (Ham Porter from The Sandlot).
