I gave him the contact page. The book he wrote deals with helicopters and iran and I told him to mention me.

Even if this one doesn't work, I would recommend you spend some time talking to him and maybe tease some other ideas out of him. Either from his professional life (from taco bell manager to inner city principal to state department) or other historical narratives.
