There Will Be Blood is probably the better movie, but Catch Me If You Can is imminently more watchable.

No WALL-E?

Your Family Movie bracket should only consist of Pixar movies, they had a fantastic decade.

Wall-E would be MY #1 seed in that bracket, but I can also see it getting past people who weren't in the right stage of life.

A lot of media sources rate Wall-E as the #1 animated film of all time. The problem, the media is normally 99.9% wrong and over-inflates whatever agenda is presently on the table. For example, in the case of Wall-E, over-eating and being lazy (I type this while eating a small bag of Famous Amos cookies in front of my work computer). :/

The 3 #1 seeds also have the top voting percentages through the first 68 votes.

Who can tell me which movie has the 2nd highest % in each of the regions?

Those %s are:

Drama: 83.8%
Family: 82.4%
Superhero: 98.5%

Well done, Incredible and Batman are both correct. If you're so inclined, you get a GIF girl

I am probably one of the few who picked Almost Famous

Toughest for me was by far School of Rock vs Ratatouille

2000-2009 Kate Beckinsale is pretty hard to beat.

One point that's interesting about these results: the fact that seemingly probably only 1 person voted for Ghost Rider as probably a joke indicates people are giving sincere answers.

WOW! That action region is tough! Right off the bat, Ocean's 11 is great movie, but up against 300 could get interesting. Then there is M&C against Taken! Taken is one of my favorites where M&C is forgettable.

I agree. Today will be interesting. However, I am going to venture that all the #1 and #2 seeds will be leading votes after the first 40 votes except for the Action Region where #2 and #3 will be leading. The reast of the matchups are coin flips.

Side question for the thread...

I just read an article stating that Jurassic Park was #1 in the box office this past weekend.

If there was one movie from 20+ years ago that was re-released with today's audio/video quality, which movie would be a must-see for you?

Given that I've already seen ET, Titanic, Jurassic Park, Phantom Menace, LOTR, and The Matrix on re-releases over the years, I will say:

Any Star Wars OT movie
Back to the Future (May go see it if it comes to my AMC)
Terminator 2
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Halloween
Gladiator

When the Star Wars special edition came out in January 1997, it was #1 for 4 straight weeks and made $138 million domestic and $256 million total in a month. That's the equivalent of $220 million domestic and $405 million total in 2020 dollars.

The Empire was #1 for 2 weeks on its re-release. Later ROTJ was #1 for a week as well.
